LeGrand…Believe it or not, earlier today I looked up the record for most consecutive hits because of Dickerson’s 9 in a row. Altuve once had 10. The record is 12, shared by 3 guys I’ve never heard of.
Stings that Knizner’s base running blunder had to come before the most scorching hitter on the planet. Cost a run for sure.
I wonder what Dickerson’s stats are just at Wrigley? I seem to recall he had a good series there the last time. Hopefully he can keep hitting well when we leave town.

For scoring 5 runs in four innings, the Cards have had a ton of traffic on the base paths. 10 hits in 20 at bats with two walls. A .500 batting average and .545 OBP usually yields some offense.
Not bad from a guy the mob wanted to put on the waiver wire not very long ago. Good health can lead to good results.
(Can you imagine the outcry had he done this for another team while the Cards pay his salary!!!!)
And a fielder's choice ends Corey Dickerson's streak of hits. He had two four-hit games and two more hits today to get the streak to 10 hits in 10 consecutive at-bats.

LeGrand…McGwire was never one of my favorites and if you don’t like Bonds, there’s a clip floating around on Youtube of Pirate’s manager Jim Leyland giving Barry a top shelf dressing down in front of several other Pirate players during spring training. Leyland is really steamed and spun up. It’s worth looking for.
