Hey, Bikemike…Nice! I’d sure trade places with you. Enjoy the game and…GO REDBIRDS!
August 11, 2022 at 1:56 pm #195063The instant I glanced at the line-up card I felt as though I’d taken a strong sedative in order to counter the effects of vodka.
August 11, 2022 at 2:12 pm #195064Leadoff double by Nootbaar!!!
Who’s got the PBP today?
August 11, 2022 at 2:24 pm #195065IDK Rat…I haven’t seen Pugs. Have “Whitey Herdog” give it go!
August 11, 2022 at 2:27 pm #195066Sun and sky issues.
August 11, 2022 at 2:30 pm #195067Nice job by Dak to work around the lead-off BB.
August 11, 2022 at 2:47 pm #1950683 walks already by Hudson that’s his main problem. Two of them scored.
August 11, 2022 at 3:05 pm #195069Solo tater by Gordo!
August 11, 2022 at 3:05 pm #195070Oliver…Yep, the BB’s are killing him.
August 11, 2022 at 3:47 pm #195071Nado’s hit into some tough luck today.

stlcard25ParticipantTwo men in scoring position…Dejong and/or O’Neill are gonna need to come through.
August 11, 2022 at 3:49 pm #195073Redbirds got burned on a GRD in last night’s game. Hope this one turns out better.
August 11, 2022 at 3:51 pm #195074That K hurt.
August 11, 2022 at 3:54 pm #195075
stlcard25ParticipantPaul is punched out. This is a huge at bat here for O’Neill…predictably, O’Neill follows suit. Three doubles and a home run among 8 base hits and a walk, and the Cards have only two runs. Terrible sequencing.
August 11, 2022 at 3:55 pm #195076We just aren’t seizing these opportunities.
August 11, 2022 at 4:00 pm #195077Wonder if Black will keep the baseball in Marquez’ hand and let him work the start of the visitor half of the 6th. He’s at 103. He’s done a pretty good job of keeping the ball at the knees in the zone. Hopefully Black will run him back out there and he’ll run out of steam and elevate something for Redbird hitters to drive. We’ll see what happens.

ParticipantHaven’t got to watch much but Hudson seemed like he was ok. Got Hicks in there now who has turned it around a little bit. Not as many walks
August 11, 2022 at 4:02 pm #195079stlcard…Yeah, that was no good. GRD’s seem to always cost the Cardinals a run, but then I’m biased. That rule needs to be amended to allow the umpires some judgement on whether the baserunner would have scored.
August 11, 2022 at 4:07 pm #195080Hey Willie…Yeah, he’s worked a pretty good game, but both Colo. runs have come as a result of BB’s that were pushed across to score. Go figure, right?
August 11, 2022 at 4:10 pm #195082Gotta bust it down the line, Nootz.
August 11, 2022 at 4:14 pm #195083
cardsfan64ParticipantI think he learned that from Yadi!
August 11, 2022 at 4:20 pm #195084
stlcard25ParticipantHas Hicks been any good in the second inning of any of his outings this year?
August 11, 2022 at 4:21 pm #195085The walks. The walks. They’re going to eat us up.
August 11, 2022 at 4:26 pm #195087Where is McFarland when you need him?
August 11, 2022 at 4:26 pm #195088Hey, 64…Haha! Yeah, Molina’s not going to beat out an IF hit unless the entire opposing IF simutaneously suffers a case of spontaneous combustion. I once saw him attempt to score from 1B on a hit laced into the gap by Aaron Miles vs. the Phillies. Rarely have I heard the standing packed house so loud as old “Jetcalves” was motoring around 3B and heading toward HP. He was out, but it was fun to behold!
