Anybody have any idea what the new start time is? Or is it still raining in St. Louis?

    1982willie,
Heard the same forecast. After I left the Amish restaurant in Montgomery today, the Gasthof, I came home and mowed in anticipation of the rain.

Enjoy your trip on Friday to Busch. Assume you cut straight across on I-64?

On a good note. Pittsburgh has come back from a 4-0 deficit to lead Milwaukee 7-4 in the 8th inning at Three Rivers Stadium. We might be 1.5 games out when the lights go out tonight.

UPDATE: Uh oh, the Pirates have the bases loaded with two outs in the 8th. Stay tuned……

UPDATE #2: Adames singles to left and now it’s a 7-6 Pirates lead.

UPDATE #3: Tellez grounder off of Hayes glove and the game is tied 7-7.

I’m outta here. Back to the Dodgers and Giants, Whitey Herdog, and my cigar.

To complete Rat’s previous post, Reynolds just yanked a Williams fastball out of the cozy confines of Three Rivers stadium and your Pittsburgh Pirates have dealt Milwaukee another loss, this one by the score of 8-7.

Wow! That means Packy Naughton is the only pitcher signed in the off-season that remains on the 40-Man roster and is not on the IL?

I guess O’Neal is just playing game 2 tonight.

Nootbaar is swinging a hot bat, and Dickerson is the lefty. So I guess I get why no O’Neill. Still, I think that Tyler getting hot would help us more than the others down the stretch.

I think I would shut Flaherty down for the rest of 2022. Focus on having him healthy in 2023.

What are the odds he contributes? And what are the odds he gets hurt again?

Not much going on in this one. A Contreras homer is about the only offense.

Still 1-0 heading to the 6th. Stroman on his game today. So is Mikolas. Cardinals only have one hit through the first five innings.

UPDATE: Cubs now lead 2-0 in the 6th and threatening for more. Milwaukee 3-1 over the Pirates in the 7th at Three Rivers Stadium.

This game sure feels like a shutout. Gonna be up to Hudson to keep us from being swept in the DH tonight. My sense is that we go 0-2 today.
