With Kim pitching well of late, I hope Mo is shopping him. He is the one guy we might be able to get a decent return on. If he can net us a middling big leaguer and good prospect, I would make that deal yesterday.
It is looking like this game will come down to our pen.
I hope they make an attempt to retain Kim for next year. We will need all the legit rotation possibilities we can get. The reality is putting together an MLB worthy rotation and active roster is going to be hard enough without letting anyone go who might help. It is going to take spending some money and a couple more prospects should be ready to audition.

Don’t want to see the pitch count get too high on this Morgan fellow as he’s one guy you want to keep on the mound if you’re a Cardinal fan. Is the offensive light clicking on with Bader? Could be.
Club playing a good game so far. Even Carp and DeJong are contributing in a positive way.
No way I do not shop Kim though. If you can’t get a good deal then fine, but you have to see what you can get for him with the club likely looking at down time this October.

It usually does not work that way, but yeah, that would be a good way to go. Definitely sell though – club’s need left-handed pitching during the stretch drive. He would look good to someone who thinks he can be the difference.

It might not fly, JJ. Though perfectly acceptable by our standards and rules, in Kim’s culture, it very well may not be the honorable thing to do. The only way he might willingly come right back and sign with St. Louis this winter is if the Cardinals returned the player(s) they received for him in the original trade.
