We have to lead MLB pitchers in runs walked in.

It is getting ugly in the top of the eighth. An error, balk and oppo-field single. Ugh!

Reyes needs a strikeout here – got it.

Now he needs a DP – got it and got out of the jam!

Two in a row. Win tomorrow and that is a winning streak. Can we play Arizona every game?

Thank goodness we found someone we can beat. Playing the DBs is sort of like sending the whole team down to AAA to build some confidence.

The Redbirds got the “good version” of Carlos last night. He gave the team a six inning start allowing only one rune. Hopefully, this is a performance he can build off of. I am hoping that the “good version” of Carlos, or a version close to this, will show up and deliver another 12-14 starts this year.

    Go get ‘em Carlos.

Good to get a win, no matter the opponent. This has been a wretched month; hopefully the injury bug will get kicked and guys will start hitting more like normal so we can see if a run is even possible.

Why is an infielder playing outfield when we have a full compliment of outfielders –
Carlson, Bader, O’Neill, Thomas, and Williams. Even after saying goodbye to Pham, Ozuna, Arozarena, Garcia, etc.

Pretty simple. Bader is hurt, Thomas can’t hit, and Williams can’t hit. Dean could have been a decent replacement but he has been hurt. Nootbaar hasn’t done much yet either. Since this organization loves to rush prospects maybe they could go ahead and call up Jhon Torres.

Arizona is a 22 win team and is already about 30 games out in their division.

They are a horrible team in every sense of the word.

I honestly do not think they would make the AAA playoffs.

We can’t play the DBs forever. Reality check time will be upon us soon enough.

A lot of fans put a beat down on CMart but he deserves a pat on the back for last night’s game. He actually had a very good May and every W he puts up now just adds to his market value.

Carlos did throw strikes last night, and a profoundly dreadful team couldn’t do much against him. We sort of need to keep that last part in mind. Same with guys who suddenly can hit again.

CMart with a GSc of 64 (game 80) and 45 on the season.
