Willie, that is odd.

ParticipantYep 1964 it is plus on extra innings it’s blacked out, just rediculous. Oh well. At least I can watch it I guess. So far carlos is doing ok. Would be nice to win two in a row here. Would almost feel like a hot streak.
June 29, 2021 at 8:12 pm #165114Non game question. If the guy who starts an inning on 2nd in extra innings gets batted in, is it an earned run?
June 29, 2021 at 8:16 pm #1651151982 willie
ParticipantNo it’s not bling boy. I can’t remember just how it’s scored though if more runs are scored, they do count.

ParticipantSo the risk Mo took with 5 unproven outfielders hasn’t worked out?
June 29, 2021 at 8:28 pm #165117thanks willie.
There is no denying that cranny. The proof is the 2nd baseman playing RF. The narrative was they were willing to eat Fowler’s contract to open up the outfield slot and give the young outfielders plenty of reps. Ok, so where are they?
June 29, 2021 at 8:45 pm #165120Whew! CMart gets out of a jam. Was worried things could implode.

ParticipantWhat hasn’t worked out far as outfielders go. Oneil has had a pretty good season, Carlson has been up and down but mostly ok. The other spot hasn’t worked out due to injuries and other factors. You can look at our infielders moreso than the outfielders. Arenado was great early, goldy has been just average at best, edman has been on a steady decline, Dejong has been horrible for most part. No the issue is the offense across the board and consistency but really pitching is the biggest issue by far regardless of this particular game.

jj-cf-stlParticipantEdman is whatever Hes needed to be. He hasn’t pitched, caught or played 1B at mlb yet.
June 29, 2021 at 8:54 pm #165124Everything they just threw Carlson was at the top of the zone. Swings didn’t look so good to me despite what the announcers were saying.

ParticipantWell we caught a break there, maybe we can capitalize.

ParticipantWell I just got a weather emergency as arenado came to bat. If you live in dubois county in Indiana, severe thunderstorms.
June 29, 2021 at 9:00 pm #165127Arenado comes up big again. Two-run shot puts the Redbirds up 2-0. Where would the Cards be without Nolan?
June 29, 2021 at 9:00 pm #1651281982 willie
ParticipantArenado needs to come up big here.
June 29, 2021 at 9:01 pm #1651291982 willie
ParticipantI guess my feed is behind because of the weather alert, he’s still batting on my tv.
June 29, 2021 at 9:03 pm #1651301982 willie
ParticipantYep just got out off the pole, ball out of the zone too. Good for him, he doesn’t always go out at those. Another weather emergency, perry county also.

ParticipantWe need a shutdown inning by Carlos here. Too bad the leadoff guy just got on as I was typing that.
June 29, 2021 at 9:07 pm #1651321982 willie
ParticipantGreat play by arenado
June 29, 2021 at 9:08 pm #1651331982 willie
ParticipantThey better start thinking about warming up someone
June 29, 2021 at 9:24 pm #165134Edmund drives in Sosa. Cards up 3-1. They needed that run. Nice to see Tommy have a two-hit night.
June 29, 2021 at 9:45 pm #165135Here come the walks again.
June 29, 2021 at 9:46 pm #165136This inning got messy real quick! Shildt turning to Miller to shut the door on the Dbacks in the seventh.
June 29, 2021 at 9:50 pm #1651371982 willie
ParticipantMiller never changes, always unreliable.
June 29, 2021 at 9:51 pm #1651381982 willie
ParticipantWell we still are clinging to a lead
June 29, 2021 at 9:52 pm #165139Miller gets the final out, but not before walking in a run. Cards lead 3-2 heading into the bottom of the seventh.
The Cardinals pitchers cannot stop inflicting pain on themselves. The Dbacks had one hit and the Redbirds walked three hitters in the top of the seventh. Unbelievable!!!
