What’s the opposite of OBP? Making an out.

    June OBP:

    .390 carp
    .368 goldy
    .358 o’neill
    .333 carlson

    .292 arenado and rondon
    .271 molina

Everyone from here down has made an out 3 of 4 times this month.
    .246 sosa
    .225 edman

    Really bad
    .200 Knizner
    .147 dejong

We at least have 4 guys keeping the line moving.

I looked up their stats for the season which is what I care about, not a few games singled out here or there. Carpenter is not keeping any line moving other than the one that hopefully takes him out the door at the end of the season but that’s just my opinion based on season stats.

The Nootster was my pick for sleeper when we were talking about that in the spring.

If Newt Gingrich had a candy bar named after him, I guess it would be a NewtBar.

Hopefully the kid is a shot in the arm for this club. We could certainly use a decent lefty bat.

VEB had an article showing several advanced stats and concluded DeJong will come around, and is better than Sosa. The eye test tells me different, but we will see.

I understand Willie. I’m more concerned with now.

June and tonight’s game. Who has been hitting this month, getting on base, etc., who will help us win right now.

This winter I’ll enjoy the season stats. I’d like a lineup that gives us our best chance to win tonight. Who’s hot, who’s not, still matters.

Suppose he does come around. Considering his straight down hill trajectory since 2017 he will still be terrible at the plate. Whether Sosa could be less terrible I don’t know. He hasn’t really grabbed the opportunity so far.

Carpenter isn’t hot, he’s just good for one walk a game cause he couldn’t do anything with it if he swings at it.

I understand Willie. Notice I included all the regulars (the team). Your focus singles out one player, again. Oh yes, I understand.

    Rattle them bats!

The seasons stats tells you who is more likely to get the job done no matter what point your pointing at.

I’ll set the over/under at 1.5 for Edmans walk total this month. I’ll take the under.

That was a horrible play by oviedo. I kind of think he should have went to first, arenado was way off the bag and trying to hit him on the run. Reminiscent of the 2006 world series when the tiger pitchers kept throwing to third and making errors throwing the balls. I just think that play in the majors is practiced enough for them to do it, just turn and throw to first, get sure out.

That’s the story of our season. A play not made, followed by a couple walks, and then it all goes haywire.

Shildt threw up the white flag at 3-0. Maybe he noticed we can’t get a runner to 2B.

Lets Oviedo face the order a third time, allowing a 3run HR and single, AFTER, a single, wild pitch, error, BB, BB, double. Late pull Shildt.

Maybe we should practice getting hit by the pitch.

I dont know about the rest of you posters but I am sick and tired of watching Goldschmidt and Arenado do nothing but make outs. When are they going to start hitting? Did we get a couple of duds in these two?????

6-0 Tigers and this one is history.

Was Shildt late getting a pen arm warmed up?

Ponce goes out with some kind of injury. Our guys are just made out of plastic or something.
