To keep the volume down, I moved the Opening Day details that had been in this post into a home page article.

I wonder if O’Neill will be in the lineup for this one. Probably will since it’s the home opener.

I also wonder how much longer the Cardinals will tolerate all of his strikeouts. 12 times in the first six games. Seems like Memphis might be a good place to send him and have him work on just putting the ball in play. But, since this has been his problem from day one years ago it seems logical that it’s never going to be solved. At this point I wonder how much value he has to the team.

The three amigos are back at the bottom of the order. At least Carlson is at the top of the bottom.

And the worst hitter on the team in the 2 hole while WAY better all around players pick splinters out of their butts

    Just stupid beyond all reason

In case anyone hasn’t got the memo, Carp is the new Fowler. But he is a Cardinal lifer so will have to be eased out gently. We might as well quit worrying about it. I hope he has a good game today.

The Cardinals should allow full capacity like Texas.

I can’t agree. You don’t bench your best hitter and fielder with your worst at any level of ball and put him in the middle of the only 4 productive bats on the team

What is Goldie and the rest of the team thinking about this crap? It’s bad for the club in every way

BTW De Jong is in the wrong spot too

    1. Tommy Edman .280
    2. Matt Carpenter .000
    3. Nolan Arenado .360
    4. Paul DeJong .150
    5. Yadier Molina .316
    6. Dylan Carlson .158
    7. J. Williams .083
    8. Tyler O’Neill .125

Maybe Goldy has the flu. It is strange indeed.

Carpenter is close. Close to what, I’m not sure, and will be revealed later, after CIF and Pugs weigh in on their scooby snacks. I’m having Progresso Italian Wedding Soup. I’ve lost 11 pounds in the last month, by denying myself my favorite foods.

Apparently Goldy is day to day with some kind of injury.

More like Ludwick being replaced by one of La Russa’s faves back in the day. My money says he will be all better by next game and Marp will be back where Tommy should be

    “BACK TIGHTNESS”

That’s right behind upset tummy and paper cut

Even if it’s real Marp is still the absolute worst choice to replace anybody, anywhere

After watching out current outfield bat 7 for 58 or 120 I wonder if Yasiel Puig is still available?

The weather radar doesn’t look promising at all. I would expect a rain delay.

I am guessing ML clubs are staying away from Puig until his legal issues are resolved in his favor. If not, not sure he will play in the ML again.
