Tyler with an absolute bomb there. Too bad it was of the solo variety but makes the deficit more manageable
Nice base got from Williams
May 31, 2021 at 10:39 pm #162925O’Neill crushes another. Cuts the lead to two.
Anybody like O’Neill’s “no nonsense” homerun gallop? I like it….no messing around, back to business.
May 31, 2021 at 10:40 pm #162926Is there a game where Tyler O’Neill doesn’t homer in? On the other side of the coin, it looks like pitchers have made quick and unfortunately effective adjustments to Edmundo Sosa.
6-4 Bad Guys as we mozzy along to the Dodger 7th.
May 31, 2021 at 10:40 pm #162927Lane Thomas again??? Against Gonzalez???
May 31, 2021 at 10:44 pm #162928Was worth a shot. Bummer.
May 31, 2021 at 10:46 pm #162929Would’ve been nice to have a bench bat like Albert pujols for that one
May 31, 2021 at 10:48 pm #162930Right on, GAC!
May 31, 2021 at 10:51 pm #162931We have to lead MLB in giving up bases loaded walk. And what is Schildts latest obsession with PDL? Why not give Fernandez another shot?
May 31, 2021 at 10:52 pm #162932Well it’s a little late in CT to watch this bullpen. I might have to catch the rest in bed
Let’s hope for a late rally and a clean inning here!
May 31, 2021 at 10:53 pm #162933What is up with the walks and cross ups this year?? It’s obviously not a Yadi problem. Are these guys being rushed up? Is it a Maddux thing? The walks are already alarming but the cross ups are now becoming pretty frequent.
May 31, 2021 at 10:55 pm #162934Is this Justin turner or George Brett. If he played for the cards they’d be all over this bat that took a bath in pine tar
May 31, 2021 at 10:55 pm #162935The four bench bats tonight have a combined .158 batting average.
May 31, 2021 at 10:57 pm #162936Good point hammerfest. If there wasn’t a cross up with yadi and genesis I’d have to say that second walk is a K for out 3.
I’m the biggest yadi far out there; however, It’s somewhat alarming we’re 15-4 with kisner behind the dish
May 31, 2021 at 10:58 pm #162937Good work from PDL to get around the lead off hit and error by yadi
May 31, 2021 at 10:59 pm #162938I wonder if the Cards would consider starting Rondon instead of Of Oviedo? Ovideos last couple starts have been duds.
May 31, 2021 at 11:00 pm #162939Is Maddox partially responsible for all these walks? Yadi? 1-0, 2-0, Nibble nibble with these guys doesn’t work. They get down 2-0 and they may as well just wave him down. Start getting ahead once in awhile. Never have seen anything like this garbage.
May 31, 2021 at 11:01 pm #162940I kind of like Ponce in this current role. Won’t throw wild pitches, strikes out guys. I think this is a nice fit. I think he could actually become a weapon.
May 31, 2021 at 11:03 pm #162941Fresh pitching tutelage is warranted.
May 31, 2021 at 11:05 pm #162942Not looking good with the top of the order going down 1-2-3 in the 8th. Maybe Yadi or Arenado can get on base ahead of O’Neill in the 9th.
May 31, 2021 at 11:06 pm #162943We sure could use another reliable lefty reliever.
May 31, 2021 at 11:08 pm #162944I wonder if the phrase “pitch to contact” has been uttered by a coach this year. The defense is supposed to be solid, right? It’s maddening.
May 31, 2021 at 11:12 pm #162945Rats:
Frankie Frisch quit managing because of walks. He couldn’t take it anymore.
May 31, 2021 at 11:20 pm #162946Hopefully Gant will throw more strikes tomorrow. Love his battling but his multiple baserunners every inning is gonna catch up with him. This lineup isn’t Arizona.
May 31, 2021 at 11:20 pm #162947For one thing IV would have kept Flaherty in for another inning. I still believe Helsley will bounce back, but Webb and PDL aren’t effective MLB relievers.
May 31, 2021 at 11:38 pm #162948Flaherty had an issue.
