Sosa with another multi-hit game. Three in a row i believe.

after checking, 3 in a row and 4 out of his last 5 games have been multi-hit.

But he’s a stud so he grabs a stick and steps into the box. Waino

A terrible bunt by waino. We got a lucky break, apparently no challenges left for Chicago.

    Why didn’t they challenge?

Well our guys can’t even hit it out of infield after getting a break. Really horrible.

Sosa beats out an infield single to 3B
Thomas walks after fouling off good strikes, Sosa to 2B
Wainwright sac bunt, sacks full (no challenge at 3B available, gift call)
Edman fielders choice groundout 4-2, 1 down, sacks full
Goldy popout to catcher F2, 2 down
    Arenado K’s swinging

    0-0 after 7

Our money guys blow it again. Mainly goldsmidt cause all he needed was a fly ball.

Give the Cubs pitcher credit. Heckuva job getting out of that jam. Cardinals just can’t find a clutch hit. Really poor three at bats to end that inning.

3-1 and Thomas is swinging. Today’s hitters a not very bright and don’t seem to understand situational hitting. Another terrible at bat.

Now Goldy hits a fly to the track. Wrong inning for that.

    Reyes in. Contreras at 2nd.

Well going to get tougher to hold them to zero now since they get an automatic double to start inning. Won’t be too tough to hold us though. We already had bases loaded to start inning and no runs.

Would it have been smart to tell Edman to get picked off in the 9th? He starts the 10th on 2nd base and Goldschmidt, Arenado, Molina up.

That was a horrible pitch to a guy just swinging at everything. He lets throw him the same pitch we just threw that was in dirt but let’s put it right in middle of strike zone.

What a wasted effort on the mound tonight. The offense is just pathetic. They may well look back at this game as the turning point in the season, and that turning point isn’t in the right direction. Also the field management of this team leaves much to be desired. Head scratching at times.

It’s absolutely criminal that this Cardinals team has scored 5 runs in 27 innings, in front of an adoring home crowd, against their arch rivals.

How is our “closer” number 2 on the team in walks?!

With how Goldy has not been producing, it makes sense. I like your line of thinking, Cards667.

I’m seeing Dejong at short, Sosa at 2b, and Edman in right here soon.
