Goldy got a fat one 3-1 there. He was behind it, unfortunately. He pops it up and it’s 2 down now. How about an Arenado walk off?
Arenado looked to get ahold of that one…and it dies on the warning track. Ugh. Would have been nice to steal one. Have to think leaving Waino in for the 9th against a guy who’d already taken him deep may have been a mistake, in hindsight.

Carpenter – Was in the Mariana Trench 1-2, yet Carp somehow submerges to induce the free pass. And that will send Mr. Wheeler straight to the showers….so happy to see this guy exit!

Edman – Lines a scorching one hopper off Maton’s glove at 2nd and out into center field for a hit…..with Carp motoring around to 3rd and we are in business here in the 9th.
Carlson – Rolls it slowly out to 2nd and Maton’s only play will be at 1st as Carpenter scores and Edman taking up new residence at 2nd. Only down a run with just 1 out.
Goldy – Count was 3-0 but then goes to 3-2 where the 3rd baseman Bohm totally misjudges a foul ball over near the Phils dugout, but then somehow someway rights the ship and makes an acrobatic play in catching the ball.
Arenado – Blasts a long one to center!….Herrera back to the wall and has it right at the base of the wall and that’s your ballgame.

Phils 2I hate when we waste good pitching performances…but especially ones by Waino who only has so many left
truly spectacular from him. 2 solo HRs is pretty impressive without the complete game
I dont see how anyone thinks he is not at least our 2nd best starting pitcher PERIOD…and definitely our most clutch pitcher
I could care less about hype and projections and age
Waino and Yadi are two of our top players on this team and until they show us they are not, they should be re-signed and paid accordingly until THEY want to leave
I am not sure we have another starter who could let alone would even pitch a complete game at this point
