Pugs, Gustavo sounds cool, but how about simply using Gustave as the first name? Reminds be of Gustave Frerotte. I don’t think he ever beat our Packers, but he had a good run with the Redskins for a while. Then there’s Gustave Eiffel. That might sink a little more fear into you with your late onset fear of heights. I went to the top once and will never do it again.
Well how bout that. I’m not big on the wild card but in a year when we were absolutely horrible at times and looked like we might fall apart, it feels pretty good. Took a historic run to do it but here we are. Go crazy folks. Go crazy.

Yep, that’s funny. Also, Sirhan Sirhan (RFK assassin) was in the news recently after being recommended for parole. I had forgotten about him and would’ve thought he was dead.
I expect us to lose within the next couple games though I don’t think it matters come playoff time. That’s a totally different thing and even if the streak ended this Sunday, I don’t see the veterans letting the team lose any monentum over it. Bottom line we will play a good team in the wc and whether we win or lose it, it’s been a great run. I just think no matter what happens in the playoffs, this all bodes well for next year. I want to take back this division. Get these brewers out of the top and keep those lowly cubs down.
Going to be interesting how we play this going out. We have this streak but the most important thing is to get our rotation set and see what flaherty and Hudson can do. To he guys on tv were just talking about someone that I feel was very important in this run. Wade Leblanc. He was a big pickup and put us on this course. It’s a shame hes hurt and I wouldn’t mind the Cardinals seeking him back for next year.
However, the plan is to hang ‘em up after next year and take a page out of Rats’ book and be on the couch watching west coast night games.

Mike, if nothing else you can use Twitter as the source for your image if you have an account. Just tweet a jpg or other image file (use the “media” button I think). Then, after your pic has posted on Twitter, right click on the pic and select “copy image address” — that’s Windows 10, but similar with other OSes. Then post the image on this site using the IMG function. Make sure “http” is not duplicated when you paste the image address because http is already in the box when you click on IMG.
Quite the turnaround for this team. As tough as the Dodgers look on paper, anything can happen in one game. Should be a fun few weeks if the Cards keep playing this way!
Schildt can now set things up any way he wants to. Expect Wainwright to start the WC game with the top 3-4 relievers coming in on 2 days rest.
Forget the streak, Schildt should throw a funky lineup out there tonight.

Congrats Cards on winning the Wild Card spot. Gotta stay competetive till we get to the big one. Don’t want to go into it cold. Biggest difference I see in our team is that if we get a couple runs down , we now have confidence we will get them back. Its about having confidence in yourself and your skills. So play on! Go Cardinals!
