If I were a bachelor for the next 6 days…. I think all my days would be spent in St. Louis at the ballpark.

Not a bad way to spend six glorious days, Curlo. If I were at the ballpark again for six straight days, instead of sitting in easy street, maybe it would be fun to be a kid again and sit in the bleachers ($2 at Milwaukee County stadium back in the day) or down the left field line to chase foul balls…..and if caught I sure as heck wouldn’t flip it to some little kid. You know, dating back to age 5, I’ve probably been to well over 1000 games….and not once have I even touched a foul ball, let alone caught one . When I was a little tike I would have done anything for a real ML foul ball.

“Why no molina today. Kind of weird he isn’t catching waino”

I think they said shoulder soreness. I believe that’s what they said.

“Molina was scratched from Tuesday’s lineup versus the Brewers due to shoulder soreness, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Molina has apparently been dealing with the injury over the past few days, and he won’t start Tuesday’s contest after initially being slated to work behind the plate. Andrew Knizner will take over catching duties with Adam Wainwright on the mound as the Cardinals attempt to secure their spot in the playoffs.”

I originally through that Arenado turned his ankle on Sunday during that pop-up.

But watching the replay… he just slipped.

Thankful he didn’t turn an ankle.

If it was two years from now, even not being a bachelor I might very well be there. But I am still a working stiff and cannot get away these next couple of weeks.

However, the plan is to hang ‘em up after next year and take a page out of Rats’ book and be on the couch watching west coast night games. I might walk in the Spring, but the plan is to go until the holidays of ‘22.

Would love to see a little run here to give Waino a lead and a cushion.

Did they call that a strike on Tyler???? Wow… they didn’t give that to Waino last inning!!!!

Goldy looked to be carrying a piano coming around third. Sort of chugging, rather than motoring.

Agree Mike… If it were Edman or Bader or one of our speedsters…
I would have definitely sent them… but Goldy….. ehhhhh… not so sure.

Would love to have had a possible two run lead right now.

OK… to all you arm chair managers out there.

Would you have played Yadi with Waino today…
since they play so well together… just to up
the comfort level….and get this win to clinch????

(understanding that Yadi is dealing with soreness)

Oh boy – Waino cannot hold on to the come-backer. We are looking like our opponents have looked the last two weeks.

Naw, I would not have put Yadi out there. We only need one measly win in the next 6 – it’ll happen.

We are not getting DPs out of all these grounders. Just not going our way so far.

Woodruff with an opposite field hit, which makes me think. Whatever happened to the “inside out” swing? Guys used to do that a lot. One guy who comes to mind who would really keep the hands back was Bernie Carbo. He had a classic inside-out swing.

Waino not really sharp tonight. Not getting some close pitches but still off.

Also…. Waino not getting the bottom zone calls. My belief is that
he’s thrown at least 5 pitches that should have been strikes.

Woodruffs hit was due to where ball was, not due to him trying to hit it there. Not a good pitch by waino with arenado way off line.

With the Brewers having the division locked up…. do you think they will play
    Hader anymore… until the playoffs?

Or will they play him here and there to keep him in the groove for the playoffs.
