The announcers must get paid by the word. I finally turned off the sound.

Happ with the Houdini. Gets out of it.

Was looking like it’d be worse than a leak, but Happ found the zone again and cubs obliged.

Chris Zorich shows off his tremendous singing skills during the 5th inning stretch. Yikes!

Sosa HPB and then runs straight to the dugout to leave the game in obvious pain. PDJ in to run. It’s like Sosa knows something bad happened to the bones in his right hand/wrist area. Not good.

    Losing Sosa would be terrible.

Yea not good with Sosa. Had to take my son somewhere. While waiting on him I started watching the game on my phone on my cable app on ESPN since it was first channel I came to. Well once started driving, listening to game, it was crazy. I know it’s tv but you wouldn’t know there was a baseball game going on if you wasn’t watching it. The cubs had bases loaded before I even knew they had one guy on. Talking about everything but the game. Crazy

But the guys just keep slugging.

We really really don’t need to lose Sosa.

8-0 now. This is about what we should have been doing all along. I’m hoping Sosa is ok. I was expecting Dejong to probably start second game anyway but pretty much expected now.

Players don’t react the way Sosa did just because there was a lot of pain. I hope he’s wrong, but he had to feel like something cracked and needed attention. Plus, the ball hit in the area of the wrist/hand where the bones are small and easier to break.

Reyes in now. I like him in this role. Some guys can’t handle the later pressure especially if they have had some issues. It sticks in their minds.

Of course soon as I day that, he has his customary walk

Reyes walk and homer. Ponce him now, between innings.

Well he was looking unhittable then bam. Better get someone up. Doesn’t take long, he’s wild now

Reyes will give me an ulcer.

Reyes just appears not to have the mental stuff to cut it. It’s ok to give up a homer but you have to be able to o shrug that off and get back to business. Come on.

Well, Reyes hasn’t lost his touch. Quick let’s make him a starter.

Now Reyes throws another 4 wild ones. Hard to rely on him in any role. He looks very good . . . . . until he doesn’t.
