We have it going tonight. That error hurt them. That’s why I still think the Cardinals are better than the brewers just as I thought before season. Yea their overall pitching is better but I think offensively we are better. The tie breaker is defense and I don’t think it’s close.

We will get a good look at their pen. Hopefully wear it out for tomorrow.

Arenado out with back tightness. Hopefully something minor.

Ugh, hopefully just a precaution and back for tomorrow. Maybe Dejong will get in on the hit party.

I’m glad this isn’t a close game, the umpire is very inconsistent and giving some very wide strikes. I thought last night’s umpire did a great job.

Flaherty to “open” the second game of Cubs double header. Prob just an inning. Hudson healthy scratch in Memphis. I bet he takes over after Fletch.

Has flaherty even pitched to any live batters.

I don’t know who leads the league in this category but O’Neill must be near the top in balls called strikes. Bring on the robot umps.

The Lizard King is doing his job tonight. I dunno about anyone else, but I’d take an innings eating 4.00ish ERA starter from Mikolas and be satisfied next year.

Mikolas is controlling everything, and that curveball he’s throwing is the best it’s ever been, IMHO.

25, I would take that, also. I am just not sure his elbow will hold up.

Yeah, I’m with you there. It is a worry. To be fair, I’d take 120ish innings by around the trade deadline to give Liberatore, Rondon or Oviedo some time to season in Memphis and step up too.

Yea health is the only concern with mikolas. If he’s healthy, he’s perfect for our defense first team. If Cardinals can sign Lester, you’d have him, waino, flaherty, and mikolas. Fifth starter to be determined. Yea those guys would be a year older but with the team we have, I think it would be great.

Well mikolas has given up 2 through 7 innings pitched. I think he’s done his job. I like how we’ve at least added a little since the first. A lot of times when we have scored big early, that was it.

I feel another key to Mikolas pitching tonight… is that he’s pitched so when batters do hit…
our defense has been there to get the outs.

So it’s really been a one – two punch tonight. Both have been great tonight.

Let’s just finish it out!!!!!!! No Reds comeback like they did against the Pirates Monday Night!!!

The faces of the Brewer fans, back behind Goldy’s close up shots on camera, tell it all.

I think one of you guys needs to step up and offer consolation to the Brewers gal.
