Man. Something is rotten with this organization.

Wow, talk about starting off this one about as bad as could be.

So let’s see – on the home stand we are 2-4, with the odds favoring 2-5. Not the way to make a charge for a post season berth. More like a charge to get out on the course and see how much you can improve your putting game.

Three innings in the book. Well, this game has not started the way I had hoped.

Cardinals are going to have to find at least 4 starting pitchers in the offseason. I will be surprised is Flaherty’s injury isn’t similar or the same thing that happened to Reyes a few years ago that required surgery.

Get a leadoff double and 4-6 can’t get him in. Just sad

Wow, we may end up with a decent draft position after all next year. You just have to believe that we’ll come back from this 4-0 deficit to prevail late in this game. This one is far from in the books.

KK looks like toast. Looks like the heats getting to our guys. Those 4 runs early may be hard to overcome. I hope not.

Cussing out the pitcher after a high and inside pitch is bush league.

That was a much better couple of swings by Bader. If he can continue to be more level, I think he will bring his hitting back to where he was earlier this season.

Nice to see Arenado hit the ball to the opposite field to drive in two runners. Wish he would do that more often.

I sure wish Arenado was more clutch.

    Poor angle to the ball.

    Poor angle to the ball.

But it was a double whether he took that route or not. However, it was probably only a single if he gets to the ball before it gets to the wall.

Good job by the Cardinals to get out of the leadoff double by Detroit without a run scored.

Anybody who had their list of all the great starter candidates we’re going to have for next year better tear it up and start a new one.

Did Flaherty get hurt again or just had bad stuff and got the early hook?

All I have heard so far is shoulder tightness. Velocity was down according to announcers.

Yeah, I went and found an article. Sucks.

Whatever it is or isn’t they just need to shut him down for the year.

    Mikolas too.

Then go sign about a dozen pitchers so they will have enough to get through 2022.

    Good grief…

Just no offense tonight except one inning. Keeping goldy in the second spot isn’t helping. I have to admit though that I liked their starting pitcher. Oh well.

How do you clutch a team that’s not clutch?

The Reds lost so didn’t lose ground but with Flahery likely going back on the shelf……

Losing Flaherty puts the final nail in the coffin for 2021, IMO. Having at least two good shots to win every turn of the rotation gave us a little chance. No more. It stinks, but sometimes it’s just not your year.

This team is so frustrating. The Padres have totally collapsed opening the door for a wild card spot. We respond by losing two out of three to the worst team in the NL then losing to a very mediocre Tiger team then Flaherty gets hurt again. It just isn’t our year.

Put a fork in this team.
Not consistent hitting – man we need bats
Glass arms – not sure what is being done but the starting pitchers are always hurt.

    JF = JF
    Jack Flaherty = John Fulgham
    Excellent pitchers, short careers.
