Dakota struggled in the first inning last season. Looked like he was missing his spots in the first. Hoping he makes a rebound in the second.

    Nice at bat by Carlson.

Another strong inning for Dakota. Cards need to get on the board here!

Carpenter looked really bad in his second at bat there. He had two really good pitches to hit and one that wasn’t bad, and managed to hit nothing but air.

Was there no viable option to sit Carp against the lefty? I guess other options are left handed too. How about giving Patrick Wisdom a jingle?

Carp hasn’t looked good since 2018. But there is very little choice at gthe moment.

Roel Ramirez’ MLB debut is one to forget. Four consecutive homers make it 7-0 Sox.

Wow, this has gone south fast! They should have pulled the kid after the second home run. Tough first outing.

Back to back x 2. A quad. Can’t remember seeing this against us. Or for us. Ramirez may go the DL with a strained neck. 3 of 4 were 400 foot variety.

The Cards may have just pulled a Mike Mayers with Roel Ramirez. That one got out of hand quicky.

Was hoping to see a game today and not White Sox BP. Oh well. What will tomorrow bring?

I’ve been one of Carp’s biggest supporters, but in a season this short, there’s no room to allow him to figure things out. If he’s not right by the time Dejong and Yadi come back, he’s a platoon only bat as the part time DH, IMO. I’d give him a couple of starts a week against slow throwing righties.

Ramirez thought he was pitching batting practice.

Not sure why Ramirez was brought in with other options? Oh well, what’s done is done.
