Any chance they pull Jack early and perhaps save him for a later date. He clearly doesn’t have it today.
I know it’s still early but I’ starting to get an uneasy feeling about this game.
When your offense is being shut down by a mediocre reliever, it’s easy to see why you might feel uneasy.
Flaherty is not our ace right now. I’d put him at #3 behind Waino and KK.

I tell you, this Horton goy is running neck-and-neck with Thompson in the race for the most boring, non-stop babble-mouth in the Cardinal booth. Can’t we try to trade them in the off-season?
Jack squeezes out of the jam. The St Louis native Williams is coming in. No one can be unhittable forever, can they?
Helsley with some nice work there on the fly. 2 Ks and a fly out. It’s hard to sense it but the offense may find a way to scratch back into it.
Williams is good enough that he doesn’t need to get pitches 4 inches above the zone like he got 1-0 there.
Thrice in six innings the Cards have gotten the leadoff man on. Still managed to get 0 runs. Hammering the bottom of the run probability charts once again.
Looks like this one will end up about like I thought game 2 would go. Let’s just hope game 2 goes about like I thought game 1 would go.
