stlcard25ParticipantO’Neill crushes one into the bullpen! 7-0, Cardinals.
September 10, 2020 at 2:33 pm #139553O’Neill knows what to do with a fastball down the middle. It went over the bullpen. The 2-run HR increased the lead to 7-0. Still in the third inning.

stlcard25ParticipantO’Neill-Bader-Thomas with HR-Single-HR. 9-0 Cards. I hope you are happy, bccran.

stlcard25ParticipantYou wonder at some point if the Tigers will just put a long man out there to eat as many innings as he can. Their pen has to be gassed at this point.
September 10, 2020 at 2:39 pm #139556Thomas had another strange throw in RF earlier in the game but he made up for it at the plate. The offense from the OF is looking good today.
September 10, 2020 at 2:39 pm #139557Doncha just love a rout? Specially when it’s us doing the routing.
September 10, 2020 at 2:41 pm #139558I say let’s allow Jack to go five innings then let Kaminsky, Elledge, and/or Crismatt finish the game so the big boys in the pen can stay fresh for Game 2 and tomorrow.
September 10, 2020 at 2:45 pm #139561Tigers have allowed 28 runs in the last 12 innings. Not a good look.
September 10, 2020 at 2:46 pm #139562Yep. a great opportunity for Crismatt ahead.
In the ultimate small sample, the outfield was 3-for-3 with two homers, three runs scored and four RBI in the third inning. 😉

4.000 OPS 😄

stlcard25ParticipantJack gives up a 2 run HR..he’s nearing 70 pitches. Wonder what his limit is today?
September 10, 2020 at 2:50 pm #139565He should be good for 90-95 pitches I would think.
September 10, 2020 at 2:55 pm #139566
stlcard25ParticipantUnless he has a quick 5th, we may not get 5 out of him. He’s battling every batter. In some ways he’d be better off with the big lead challenging guys instead of nibbling. Keep the pitch count down. He’s at 87 pitches through 4.
September 10, 2020 at 2:56 pm #139567Romine with the “Wieters like” AB really racked up the pitch count.
September 10, 2020 at 2:58 pm #139568Flaherty has not had the command this year that he had in ’19. Odd year with the layoffs, but he seems to struggle finding the zone. Almost 90 pitches today in only 4 innings.
Just not the dominating pitcher of last year. Hopefully he gets there soon.
September 10, 2020 at 3:01 pm #139570Goldy bomb. Tigers pitching has been ripped the last two days.
September 10, 2020 at 3:12 pm #139572Gotta admire that Cameron kid for Detroit. 10-2 game and he goes all out attempting to catch a foul ball.
September 10, 2020 at 3:15 pm #139574
stlcard25ParticipantThe Cards strand the bases loaded after they were jammed with 1 out. Not as good a time through the OF this time. One single, a pop-up and a K. .333/.333/.333 line.
September 10, 2020 at 3:19 pm #139575
stlcard25ParticipantJack with a nice quick 5th. He’s now eligible for the W. 95 pitches.
September 10, 2020 at 3:39 pm #139578
stlcard25ParticipantMarp gets hit in the helmet with very wayward pitch. Looks like he’s OK though.
September 10, 2020 at 3:42 pm #139579
stlcard25ParticipantIf Rangel Ravelo had a video game, it would be called Rangel Ravelo’s Pro Baseball Hitter 2020. He golfs one into the seats for a 12-2 lead.
September 10, 2020 at 3:44 pm #139580Molina looked like he took that third strike on purpose to help get this game over with.
September 10, 2020 at 3:47 pm #139582
stlcard25ParticipantO’Neill had a shot at a 3-3 game. Instead, he gets rung up yet another time looking at a pitch well off the zone.
The Tiger LF robs yet another hit from a Cardinal with a great play. It’s acceptable, given the circumstances.
September 10, 2020 at 3:49 pm #139583
stlcard25ParticipantCrismatt in to finish off the game. Let’s see a nice 1-2-3.
September 10, 2020 at 3:52 pm #139584
stlcard25ParticipantThere we go…perfect inning and quick. The Cards win it, 12-2.
