Thomas should have scored on the Wong hit but he scores on the Edman sac fly.

Wong singles and Edman sacrifices Thomas in. 3-1 Cards as Wong goes to 2nd.

That’s right Miller, the RHP wants you over Silver.

Miller can bust it open here…and he Ks after being up 3-0.

Glad we got at least one more run out of that. Would have been happy with coupla more.

This year is the best I’ve ever seen Heyweird look at bat and he still looks lost. Glad STL dumped him.

Carlson looks to be thinking too much. Looks confused? Trying to go deep in the count every at bat. See it, hit it with that good swing. Maybe I am wrong? I’ve been wrong on many, Grichuk, Just Disabled Drew, Rasmus etc.

If this keeps up I am going to have to join the club of those complaining about these flailing young outfielders.

Happ is the only offense the Cubs have so far today. He kills Waino and has killed the Cards this year. 4-2.

Waino is through 5 on 75 pitches.

I agree. He’s looking confused very often. I think the pitchers are in his head a bit. He’s being pitched very well and not adjusting that much yet. In some ways, I’d like to see them tell him to go up there and take his swings at everything that looks near the zone. Get some more balls in play and see what happens.

Baez bloops one to right and the tying run comes to the plate. Waino needs to bear down.

    Sit down Schwarber!

Uncle Charlie is not tired yet!

He gets Schwarbs swinging and Contreras on a pop-up. Heyward stands between him and the end of the inning.

He gets the fly ball…and out of the inning with the 4-2 lead.

Does Wainwright get the seventh or will it be Gallegos?

Nice performance by Wainwright but he won’t get to face Happ again. Hopefully Gio can nail this down.
