Double by a Thomas to start things off!
September 5, 2020 at 5:32 pm #138768
stlcard25ParticipantThomas leads off the 4th with a spiffy double.
September 5, 2020 at 5:32 pm #138769Two hits for a Kolten!
September 5, 2020 at 5:34 pm #1387703-1 lead on a Edmund SF!
September 5, 2020 at 5:34 pm #138771Thomas should have scored on the Wong hit but he scores on the Edman sac fly.
September 5, 2020 at 5:34 pm #138772
stlcard25ParticipantWong singles and Edman sacrifices Thomas in. 3-1 Cards as Wong goes to 2nd.
September 5, 2020 at 5:37 pm #138773That’s right Miller, the RHP wants you over Silver.
September 5, 2020 at 5:40 pm #138774
stlcard25ParticipantMiller can bust it open here…and he Ks after being up 3-0.
September 5, 2020 at 5:42 pm #138775
stlcard25ParticipantDejong comes through! 4-1 Cardinals.
September 5, 2020 at 5:42 pm #138776Dejong singles, drives in Wong. 4-1 Redbirds.
September 5, 2020 at 5:46 pm #138777Glad we got at least one more run out of that. Would have been happy with coupla more.
September 5, 2020 at 5:55 pm #138780This year is the best I’ve ever seen Heyweird look at bat and he still looks lost. Glad STL dumped him.
September 5, 2020 at 6:06 pm #138781Carlson looks to be thinking too much. Looks confused? Trying to go deep in the count every at bat. See it, hit it with that good swing. Maybe I am wrong? I’ve been wrong on many, Grichuk, Just Disabled Drew, Rasmus etc.
September 5, 2020 at 6:08 pm #138783If this keeps up I am going to have to join the club of those complaining about these flailing young outfielders.
September 5, 2020 at 6:11 pm #138784
stlcard25ParticipantHapp is the only offense the Cubs have so far today. He kills Waino and has killed the Cards this year. 4-2.
September 5, 2020 at 6:14 pm #138785
stlcard25ParticipantWaino is through 5 on 75 pitches.
September 5, 2020 at 6:15 pm #138786
stlcard25ParticipantCarlson looks to be thinking too much. Looks confused? Trying to go deep in the count every at bat. See it, hit it with that good swing.
I agree. He’s looking confused very often. I think the pitchers are in his head a bit. He’s being pitched very well and not adjusting that much yet. In some ways, I’d like to see them tell him to go up there and take his swings at everything that looks near the zone. Get some more balls in play and see what happens.
September 5, 2020 at 6:24 pm #138787
stlcard25ParticipantBaez bloops one to right and the tying run comes to the plate. Waino needs to bear down.
September 5, 2020 at 6:27 pm #138788Sit down Schwarber!
Uncle Charlie is not tired yet!
September 5, 2020 at 6:28 pm #138789
stlcard25ParticipantHe gets Schwarbs swinging and Contreras on a pop-up. Heyward stands between him and the end of the inning.
September 5, 2020 at 6:30 pm #138790
stlcard25ParticipantHe gets the fly ball…and out of the inning with the 4-2 lead.
September 5, 2020 at 6:31 pm #138791Does Wainwright get the seventh or will it be Gallegos?
September 5, 2020 at 6:41 pm #138792The Ironman!
September 5, 2020 at 6:44 pm #138793
jj-cf-stlParticipantHave to pull Adam now, easy choice
September 5, 2020 at 6:45 pm #138794Nice performance by Wainwright but he won’t get to face Happ again. Hopefully Gio can nail this down.
