If Webb starts walking people, I’ll scream!

Why on earth is Webb still on the mound?

I am not dogging Bader, but had he caught that ball, the inning would have been over. Webb would still be in the pen.

The choice to bring Webb in by Shildt was bad, but that was downstream from the first problem.

well that was a pretty horrible response by the team there.

I’ve always hated Webb. I always felt he hurt us more than helped. 2019 stats be damned. He ticked me off most of last year too.

Seriously…Bader is one of the worst players in all of MLB right now. Why is this guy still on our roster?

A combined 6 runs on only 5 hits. One would think that would equate to at least 3 homers, but thus far only the Davidson granny.

Well brian you definitely are right. But its not the first time an error was made by a baseball player. There were two outs. Cabrera should have been able to compose himself to get the out or at least make those guys swing. I look at webb a lot like i did at cecil. I dont trust him especially with runners on.

Looks to like you’re “dogging” Bader, Brian.

There was no value statement made there. What I said is fact, is it not?

Woodford looked good in the eighth. Six more outs for the offense to find two runs.

this garrett is pretty nasty for cincy. I think i wouldnt swing. make him throw 3 strikes in a row, not sure he could.

i think schrock would have been a better choice for a pinch hitter but who knows

Well they gave us one, we gave them one. But those bases loaded situations we couldnt get a big hit in hurt us as well. 3 hits isnt going to win you too many games.

At least the cubbies took it on the chin tonight too…..10-1 to their cross town rivals. I’m bullish on tomorrow…..our Cards will win….so will my Milwaukee Bucks…..and if my Packers were playing, they’d throttle their opponent as well.

Oh, just joshing you on the dogging Bader comment, Brian.

    Go Birds!

the infield didnt really do any better and they should have had one of those errors.

For the record, the Cards lose 4-2 to go 1-1 in the series and 7-8 on the season. 5-5 since the return.

1982 willie, according to the MLB Gameday boxscore, 1 error to Bader and 1 error Edman. I find it funny that Edman is getting no heat despite being down to .212 BA with a .639 OPS. Since the season resumed, Edman is at .207/.303/.241/.544.

They changed the scoring to give the second error to Edman. When I saw the replay, I agreed. The throw from the OF wall was a tad high, but ticked off Edman’s glove. It was at least as catchable as Bader’s. It would have been Edman with two errors on the play.

On the offense side, they can’t keep running out a sub-.300 OBP guy in the second spot. Dex isn’t on fire either, but I would flip he and Edman in the order pretty soon. If Edman doesn’t get going, he is at risk of losing playing time when DeJong returns because Miller has hit with some authority and they probably won’t bench Carpenter.
