I still like him a lot
So do I, MM3. I think of him as a sort of Christian Yelich. Not the MVP version, but the early career Yelich who was decent in the OF and consistently solid with the bat. A sort of OF Matt Carpenter, if you will. That Yelich was a borderline All Star and I think that’s what Carlson will be.
I hope every young pitcher took notice of how a vet like Wainwright navigates his way through a start. Stuff does go wrong, but you don’t have to lose your composure like Carlos Martinez.
7 IP, 2 ER and NO WALKS. It’s such a pleasure to watch a pitcher compete in the strike zone, and Adam is proof it can be done without filthy stuff. 29 batters faced and only 4 K’s, but the double and HR didn’t have free passes standing on base.
