Why is Sosa on the 40 man? Doesn’t seem like he brings that much to the table. I thought his star had dimmed.

bccran, I started to type a response, but it would be better if you read this (if you haven’t already).

Bccran, if Sosa isn’t here, who takes over at SS if DeJong is out for an extended period?

CC – I’d put Edman there over Sosa.

I dont get the Robinson move at all. We might as well have kept Garcia. He has a terrinle platoon split as a LH batter. Only thing he adds is versatility but that is not something we are lacking with Munoz and Carpenter available. At least Wisdom had some power. Wisdom had 3 options. This guy has one. Minor league K numbers were in Wisdom territory so no gain there. If this is their move for a LH bat it is a huge fail.

Yeah, this seems like a move just to make a move

I think the point of the move was that they wanted potentially a left handed bat with some pop. Guy had some ok power numbers in the minors. Not much of an average hitter though.

Someone must have saw something they liked. Guy isn’t going to get many abs other than PH. We’ll see if that power translate to Busch 3.

Excuse me while I go laugh off my derrière. hahahahahahahahahaha *takes breath* hahahahahahahaha

How is this guy better than Double G Greg Garcia, or Wisdom for that matter? Save yourself, its a rhetorical question. He’s not. Hell this guy isn’t even better than Tommy Edman. This is the big left handed bat. Offseason done folks. Cardinals are urgent. Geezus.

Well, that’s strange. Must have been something they saw in the guy.

Is Whitey Herzog still around and available for consultation? I sure wish somebody would start to check with Herzog before they make any moves for the Cardinals.

Wondering how good he is defensively. Carp and Munoz both have defensive “utility” skills but that doesn’t mean they are plus defenders.

5th season in AAA ball and still striking out nearly 40% of the time.

Sure hope no one who criticizes O’Neill because of his k rate supports this move.

Evan has minor league depth I would rather have Wisdom. At least Wisdom can play a decent 3B.

My guess though (hope?) is that he hits the waiver wire before the season starts as we will need a roster spot for any FA signing.

Maybe they just wanted to give Wisdom an opportunity he wasn’t going to get here.

Definately kind of underwhelming move.Like others said..there must be something someone in the Cards saw to make this deal.A little more versatile than Wisdom and hits from the left side.Thats all I got.

Maybe this and Urias being added to the roster means Edmundo Sosa will be dropped from the 40-man now?

Girsch’s remarks on Robinson from Las Vegas have been added to the article on the front page.

My brother-in-law in Dallas, who is a Rangers nut, says Robinson is “an average glove, but a good athlete and sneaky fast”

Mo pulled one over on you

You see, when Mozeliak heard everyone clamoring for a 26 year-old left-handed hitter from Vegas…
