Hicks blows Albies away on three pitches to start the 7th. The second pitch slider (I believe) was incredibly nasty.
Hicks finishes the inning. His spot is due up first in the 8th so I’m imagining they’ll have someone else to pitch the 8th, or will they have Carlos try to go two innings?
My blood pressure stays in check when I see Bader patrolling center field………..I just try not to look over too far to his right when Jose is playing or it’ll spike right thru the roof. Cards need a little insurance here in the 8th.
Jmart hit that one about 600 mph but just not high enough to get out. Runner at third and one out…can the Cards get the run in this time??
Martinez just misses a 2-run HR. Now the Cards have runners on 2B & 3B with one out. DeJong up now. This is where they have been so bad recently…striking out with runners on 3B and less than to two outs. Don’t do it DeJong!
Nice hitting by Dejong to punch one back up the middle to make it 3-1. Ozuna in to try to extend the lead.
DeJong cashes in for an RBI. Runners on the corners an still just one out for Ozuna. Get more…kinda like the Geico commercial.
Ozuna with some good takes to draw the walk and load the bases. Sam Freeman coming in to face Matt Adams.
Cards counter with Widsom. Patrick just looks like a man’s man…like he would be an old timey boxer if he turned that stache into a handle bar.
