Realistically, this game was a loss anyway. Williams is on an Arrieta 2015 run right now, so you may as well let Waino eat a few more innings. If you lose 10-0, so be it.
2 on, no outs. Adams whiffs on a half swing. What has Adams done for us since returning? Sure seems like a lot of S/Os.

I don’t like it or agree with it but I very well see the Cards keeping Waino in the rotation going forward. He’d have to totally implode for them to make changes there.
On another note, the Cards bullpen (pitching staff in general) is like going to the Zoo and watching an elephant just take a massive dump. I miss August.
Seems like ever since Schildt got the deal we started sucking. Hate to call that coincidence but the timing is very close
Bad defense rears its ugly head with DeJong’s costly miscue, allowing the next batter, Bell, to almost tie it with a near-HR that’s a double. Carlos then gets the save on an unlikely play of atonement by DeJong to get Cervelli by an eye lash at first after snaring a grounder deep in the hole. Gotta love those slow-footed catchers!
Unless someone is injured, there is NO WAY I want Waino starting again. It is ruining our mojo with the 5 starters we had. We cannot keep getting behind 4-0.
Gotta give credit where credit is due. Adams comes through in a pinch and puts one over the fence. He’s now 5 for 32 (.156) since coming back to the Cards, so lots of upside for sure.
