2018 Reg Seas Game #144 – vs. Pirates – Mon 9/10

I do not like Wainwright in a starting role at this point. I question whether he has the strength and stamina to get more than 4 or 5 innings. You do not want to tax your bullpen in the first game of a series.

But management knows more about Waino and the situation than I do. Let’s hope he comes out throwing strikes, and getting outs without running up a high pitch count.

Maybe this stretch run will see Waino step up and be extremely good, and cement his name among the list of great Cardinal pitchers.

I sure love Wainright’s career as a Cardinal, but I really feel a short leash must be given tonight.

This Wainwright return is working out so much better than the previous ones.

Geez, is that enough feel good already. Do the Cardinals’ decision makers know they’re giving a game away in the midst of a realistic wild card race? Please show some guts and quit experimenting with sentiment.

Sorry Waino, but where was Schildts quick hook? After the second home run he should have been pulled. It’s not like we’re batting against a bum.
