Munny!! We need this game to 7 runs …or I’ll be eating beans, rice and my own words for quite some time. And a Cards win would be the cherry on top.
Brebbia pitched a nice 6th, but Martinez with his usual wildness has created a problem in the 7th. Two walks (Turner and Harper) and just one out.
Ozuna….strikes out again. Two days in row bases loaded no out and we score zilch, nada, zero, nothing.
It’s quite the trick that we purge Holland and he starts pitching well and now Norris can’t find the strike zone.
Two easy chances to win the last two days, and a fair chance to lose both games. Feels like June all over again.
Norris is going to pitch us right out of the playoffs.
Game is tied, but look at the bright side, gang….good ole’ Pugsaroni got his 7 runs and quite a tidy sum to boot! Now we just need the cherry on top by coming out on top. Go Birds….and once again a special thank you to our esteemed in house Jimmy the Greek….RATSBUDDY!
Why couldn’t Martinez go another inning? I wasn’t watching. He looked wild at first, then settled down and got the last two outs. Seems like as a former starter you’d want to milk him for more than one inning when the pen is shaky. I can’t imagine why Shildt was so anxious to get Norris back out there after yesterday’s disaster.
After three straight strikes, Shreve misses the plate by about a foot each time to walk Difo. The pucker factor on this one is high. Feels like this is a walk off loss.
