Matt Adams, just pathetic.
August 31, 2018 at 8:12 pm #67645Gomber works around the Big City misjudgment and keeps the Reds off the scoreboard here in the 3rd. Still 4-2 Good Guys.
August 31, 2018 at 8:15 pm #67646Euro in the house…sweet! Euro usually has some errands to run in the middle of the game….where you going tonight, Euro?
Josh Donaldson getting dealt to Cleveland tonight is the word.
August 31, 2018 at 8:21 pm #67647Hard hit base knocks by Jose & Big City to open the Cardinal 3rd has the Redbirds entertaining visions of grandure…
DeJong pokes a 3 run bomb to left and it’s 7-2 Cards!!
August 31, 2018 at 8:22 pm #67648NJ315
ParticipantDeJong!!! 7-2!
August 31, 2018 at 8:23 pm #67649
jj-cf-stlParticipantBailey = 7 outs, 7 runs
August 31, 2018 at 8:25 pm #67651Homer has been fooling nobody except maybe his skipper who still has nobody warming up in the pen….Homer just may end up being the proverbial sacrificial Red in this one.
August 31, 2018 at 8:31 pm #67652
stlcard25ParticipantBalancing out all that decent pitching that Bailey did against us before. It’s nice to see the offense break out a bit.
August 31, 2018 at 8:34 pm #67653Hey! Some offense tonight. And Big City does atone for his brain cramp on D with a hit.
Pugs, I think I’ll just sit tight tonight and enjoy the game uninterrupted. Errands can wait until this weekend. Wifey is away for a couple of days so I’ll just enjoy the game with this really cute babe hanging by my side right now who thinks the world of me — my 4-legged Welsh Terrier companion of 11 years.
August 31, 2018 at 8:34 pm #67654Our Cards may not have one of it’s rookies win ROY honors, but as a collective unit, no other team’s cast of rookies come within a mile of how well Cardinal rookies have performed….not even close.
August 31, 2018 at 8:38 pm #67655Keep your hands to yourself, Euro!!
Yep….dogs are the absolute best species on this planet. I could not begin to imagine a house without a dog inhabiting it. Sounds like you have yourself a dandy there, Euro.
August 31, 2018 at 8:41 pm #67656How many home runs by pitchers do we have? We have some big hits from pitchers.
August 31, 2018 at 8:43 pm #67657I miss stlcard25 and his call of the action……wonder where that cowboy has been lately.
August 31, 2018 at 8:44 pm #67658I think 4, RDiz.

stlcard25ParticipantI miss stlcard25 and his call of the action……wonder where that cowboy has been lately.
Hey Pugs, I’m here! The games with Pittsburgh were blacked out, so I couldn’t watch the game. I’ve got one eye on the game tonight and enjoying seeing some offense.
Nice play by Marp there!
August 31, 2018 at 8:50 pm #67660
stlcard25ParticipantDan talks about the Cards’ improved defense and then Muñoz muffs one. Still, was fairly harmless.
August 31, 2018 at 8:50 pm #67661There you are! Glad you’re back in the saddle! Oh wow!…Munoz got lucky there to register the out at 2nd.
August 31, 2018 at 8:57 pm #67662
stlcard25ParticipantO’Neill really has some potential. Power, speed, solid defense apart from some of those odd brain farts in LA…we could have the heir apparent to the king of the outfield sluggers.
August 31, 2018 at 9:00 pm #67663NJ315
ParticipantI like both O’Neill and Bader. Hopefully they will pan out.
August 31, 2018 at 9:01 pm #67664
stlcard25ParticipantFor how well the team has played lately, the offense hasn’t quite been explosive. We could really use a Dejong or O’Neill or Ozuna to get hot heading into the stretch to really go with Carp and Jmart who have been consistently good lately.
August 31, 2018 at 9:05 pm #67665Homer Bailey restoring order for the Reds as once again he keeps the Birds off the board….7-2 Cards moving to the 6th.
Yep, stlcard25, wouldn’t you love to bd able to glimpse a few years into the future to see how O’Neill, Bader, Nunez, Gorman, Hicks, Flaherty, Gomber, Gant, Hudson, Ponce & Co. we’re doing. Only problem is that 5 years from now we’ll never be able to keep them all…
What a bumper crop this is!August 31, 2018 at 9:10 pm #67666
stlcard25ParticipantPugs, perhaps we will have a Series title or two to console ourselves with over the lack of money to sign everyone. ?
August 31, 2018 at 9:10 pm #67667Matt Wisler center stage for Cincy….kid fared pretty darn well at Louisville for them.
August 31, 2018 at 9:27 pm #67669You can get away with giving up ten hits while only allowing two runs—-if you don’t walk anyone. I love pitchers who throw strikes.
August 31, 2018 at 9:29 pm #67670NJ315
Participantgood job by Gomber
