5 innings, 3 runs for Waino. That’s about all we can hope for from him I’d guess. Now to get some offense against the guy.
Wong hits an 2-0 pitch back to Guerra who cleanly fields and tosses to 2nd and Arcia catches and turns and fires to 1st for the double play. *sigh*
Maybe they meant the offense will show up in extra innings. 😉
In all seriousness, it was one thing when they were facing Syndergaard and deGrom, but the Brewers rotation is one of the weaker groups in the NL.
Waino gets caught looking on an inside pitch that appeared to be off the plate. Cards still looking for their first run.
Not sure how the 2nd out happened as they were focused on interviewing Brewers’ Suter in the dugout.
Dan Jennings is the new pitcher. Gets Carp on a grounder for the 2nd out but scores Garcia for Cards 1st run.
Gets Ozuna on another groundout.
Cards score in the 6th but was a disappointing inning.
Top 7th – Brewers up 3-1
Waino gets a line out for the 1st out.
Jennings hits one to left field which is misplayed by Ozuna and Jennings takes second. The box scorer though records it as a double?? Okay then…
Waino facing Villar puts one in the dirt and gets away from Pena…Jennings takes 3rd. Waino’s next pitch gets Villar for the 3rd out.
