RHP Adam Wainwright (0-1, 7.36) vs. TBA, 12:15 p.m., Facebook/KMOX
RHP Brandon Woodruff (0-0, 5.14) had been Milwaukee’s scheduled starter, but was sent down to Triple-A on Saturday.
Important start for Adam.

I really hope Molina takes his suspension today.April 11, 2018 at 8:13 am #48399
A problem develops in that the Cards will need a back-up catcher for one game. That C may or may not even play but that need remains. Somebody will be traveling today if Molina agrees to suspension.April 11, 2018 at 8:35 am #48403
It will have to be Kelly (40-man). So Knizner might get a game start in Memphis since Springfield is off today. Or JMartinez or Baron.April 11, 2018 at 9:22 am #48406gscottarParticipantPaid - Annual
I wonder if they will just roll the dice and go with Greg Garcia as the emergency catcher.April 11, 2018 at 9:28 am #48407
Teams are not allowed to add an extra player to cover for a suspended one.
So any player sent down to make room due to Molina’s one-game suspension would have to remain in the minors for at least 10 days – unless there is a later injury.
The cost-benefit equation to add another backup catcher for one game leads me to guess they will instead risk it rather than make a roster move.April 11, 2018 at 10:52 am #48416NJ315Participant
DeJong and Fowler get the day off. Garcia and Bader in.April 11, 2018 at 11:32 am #48417Cards667ParticipantFree
They could send Brebbia to AAA and recall Kelly. Then send Kelly back out and recall another pitcher or activate Gregerson of hes ready.April 11, 2018 at 11:35 am #48418
Hopefully they take their time in activating Gregerson, learning a lesson from the Holland situation.April 11, 2018 at 11:44 am #48420
I would assume Norris (2-in-a-row) and Hicks (2 innings) are unavailable today. Bowman and Leone could be off-limits, but really have only pitched 4 games in 7 days, neither having pitched 4/9 though.
Should get in:

Not sure how this FB thing is going to work out for me today. The video keeps freezing on my Chromebook. I had to borrow my wife’s account just to watch this game (which is dumb!).April 11, 2018 at 12:21 pm #48424Cards667ParticipantFree
Yeah i downloaded the app on my fire stick. Frame rate is slow making the video choppy.April 11, 2018 at 12:25 pm #48425
So with the feed freezing on me all I managed to see was Waino striking out the 4th batter.April 11, 2018 at 12:30 pm #48426
Garcia strikes out while leading off. I mentioned yesterday that I hated the lineup, while I hate the lineup even more today. Greg Garcia leading off? Ugh!April 11, 2018 at 12:32 pm #48427
Pham with a single up the middle.April 11, 2018 at 12:33 pm #48428
I am casting from my Android phone to a Roku TV. As soon as I can figure out how to shut off closed captioning, it will be ok.
I forgot to post the lineup earlier.

Brewers putting on an extreme shift with Carp. Carp tries to bunt a 3-1 pitch but it goes foul. And then they catch Carp looking for the K and get Pham trying to steal. Strike’em out, throw’em out double play!April 11, 2018 at 12:40 pm #48430
Waino fields the ground ball and throws to first for the 1st out.April 11, 2018 at 12:41 pm #48431
