Yep stlcard25, could’ve been a sweep, but take this and move on to sweep Marlins. 😉

Hard to overlook the fact that the Cards have won three straight series for the first time all season – and all the opponents are contenders.

Good win today. I wonder where we’d be today if we had this bullpen from the start of the season. My guess is contending w/CHI.

That’s crazy and I wonder if any other team in the league hadn’t done that to this point…or at least any team in the non-tanking division.

It’s a good day, cubs and brewers both just lost. Cubs game ended on a humorous note for me. Ángel Hernández rung up Rizzo for the last out on a pitch that was clearly off the plate. Funny to watch Rizzo and Maddon giving it to Hernández as they walked off the field. I particularly enjoyed it because it seems to me Rizzo is one of those guys who gets a lot of borderline calls.

Seems that Pittsburgh has treated our Birds quite rudely in PNC the last year or two, so it’s quite refreshing to turn the tables on them….especially on the heels of the Bucs making a big splash at the trading deadline. The team is already feeling the positive results of ushering out the seasoned underperforming players for the talented youngsters, who had to have been chomping at the bit for their opportunity. Through thick and thin let us stay the course in this direction and I think we will all be jumping for joy…..if not this year, then certainly by next.

Until this week, the Cards hadn’t even won TWO series in a row since the start of May, let alone three. Change was clearly needed.
