Bader to 3rd on a wild throw by the catcher into centerfield. Gomber bounces out meekly to short that will keep Bader in his place at 3rd. They will intentionally walk Carpenter to put runners on the corners with one out. Yadi spanks a base hit to right and Bader will tally the 4th Cardinal run! Carp had to hold at 2nd.
DeJong bounces into the 6-4 force at 2nd to once again put Cardinal runners at the corners, but this time with 2 outs. Ozuna bounces out to 3rd to retire the side. Nova is long for not in this one as he’s up to 92 pitches through 4 complete. 4-1 Cards.
Good inning. 4-1, St. Louis. Speaking of the wifey, she just got home. I have been watching the game in the living/great room, which is normally her space. Usually I am relegated to the “man cave” downstairs, and she watches “West Wing” on Amazon Prime, or whatever she is into at the time. But this time she said I can stay here. As I mentioned before, I am a lucky man.

When I was 20 I went with a lady who was 13 years older than me if that counts for anything. Wong with a sift single to left just an inch in front of Frazier to once again perch Birds on the corners with no outs. At first I thought Frazier caught that ball. Bader’s groundout scores run #6 with Wong now straddling 2nd base with one out.
Hudson looking rock solid here in the bittom of the 5th. Sets the Bucs down in order. 6-4 Good Guys as we mozzy along to the 6th.

In my single days, I breifly dated a girl 19 years my junior, but did not date anyone more than a year or teo older. My wife told me she dated a guy 10 years younger than her back in her single days.
My college roommate had a formula for dating as far as acceptsble age difference. You can date anyone who is within half your age plus seven. So for example, a 40 year old can date anyone 27 or older. A 30 year old can date anyone 22 or older.
Ha ha!! BicycleMike even has a mathematical formula for dating younger gals. 19 years is a bit of a stretch Mike….especially if you’re only 35. And now Jon weighs in with yet further testimony that Redbird fans only marry younger women…..now 7-4 Birds as Wong is going crazy with his bat in this game…..as predicted!
I would stick with Hudson here until thr kid gets in trouble. He might just be able to finish this off and save the rest of the ‘pen.
….looks like Shildt agrees with me….finally a manager who will let a bullpen guy pitch more than one inning.
