…then a walk to Cervelli. Man, sometimes those young hurlers are frustrating to watch.

CORRECTIONE ( a little taste of Espanol as a treat for our good pals south of the border ).

THE FREESE HOMER WAS TO RIGHT NOT TO LEFT. The abrupt appearance of our esteemed moderator BicycleMike must have momentarily threw me off my game.

Speaking of getting the yipps, the player I remember most for this offense was Steve Sax of the Dodgers who endured a very prolonged stretch of the yipps….I think it was the mid to late 80’s.

I have to let bader run at will even knowing every decision won’t be successful.

    Nice job w/frazier, gomber

Gomber battles back, but is around 40 pitches already.

Italiano is my favorite, and I am lucky as my wife is 50% Italian, and a great cook, among other things.

Just looking at Gomber the man looks very very sturdy. I bet the guy avoids significant injury for his entire career.

Man, Carpenter needs to be in a run-producing position. I think he would hit anywhere as he is really locked in. We would not see any of that “has to bat lead off” nonsense.

You’re a lucky man, BicycleMike. I always have said “BicycleMike knows how to pick then! My wife is all Scandinavian something…..and as luck has it, 14 years my junior. NJ? Jon? Care to tell us a little about your wives until the action picks up here.

A leadoff Carpenter free pass coupled with a Yadi base knock have the Birds in business here in the top of the 3rd with no outs…..unfortunately we’ve seen this act before though.

On cue DeJong whiffs flailing at one way out of the zone for out #1.

My wife is only six years younger than me. I may know how to pick ‘em, but you got me beat by 8 years Pugs. You are down right Billy Joel-like.

Ugh, DeJong does a Grickuk impersonation.

Wish I had Billy’s bank ledger, Mike….but I have him hands down in the looks department….Martinez drills a shot to right-center that will one hop up against the wall!!….Carpenter will tippytoe on in with Yadi slamming on the brakes at 3rd on the game tying Jose Martinez double!

Man, Molina cannot score ona two-out drive to the center field wall. But Gyorko picks him up! Really like Jedd in the lineup, both at bat and at third base.

Gyko plates a deuce on a scorching double down the left field line that Freese made a valiant attempt at!

Man Nova fooled nobody that inning as there were some line shots….oh I forgot about DeJong and Ozuna who were fooled like nobody has been fooled before, but a solid inning as the Cards score 3 to surge ahead in this game 3-1m
