Marp up…gets two pitches in the zone and lets one go by and is late on the fastball. Lets ball one go by…and smacks one into right center!

    4-4!!

Seung Hwan Oh in to face Yadi. Hopefully he is rudely greeted on his return to Busch. Well, not too rude with the fly ball.

Another awful defensive inning by the Cards in the 8th right after tying the game. Hope it doesn’t haunt them, Hicks needs to work around it.

This is just comical at this point.

Well, they have managed to get this far tied. This is a game that it would be really nice to win with the way the pitching matchups line up the next three days. Need to get something going, Dejong!

Oh looked pretty decent for them, unfortunately. He kept it tied going to the 9th.

They finally got Parra out on a nice play by Gyorko on the bunt.

Gyorko with a nice defensive play to start the 9th.

One thing that sort of crossed my mind in the bottom of the 8th was bringing in Garcia to face Oh but I don’t think Shildt would’ve done it.

Trevor Story battling with Norris. Bud hasn’t been able to get guys to swing and miss tonight so far.

That stolen base was big. Would have been a double play ball. Yadi just couldn’t get a handle on the ball.

He gets it. Now let’s walk this one off, Cards!

I think somebody had a talk with Muñoz after last night’s game about fielding the ball in front of his body (when time allows) rather than off to the side.

stlcard25, similar to you, I thought Norris was vulnerable that inning. Fowler with a lead off single. Walkoff inning?

Well, that was pretty weird. I think Fowler might have thought that was ball 4, lol. He got lucky.

Fowler had the base stolen on the bunt attempt the first time but Bader got it right the 2nd time. Still…

Well, Bader Ks. Garcia in now…will he be the hero?

Bader messed that AB up every which way. Fowler at 2B now after the steal. Garcia can win it.

If he’s going to throw breaking balls, take it the other way. Baseball 101

Groundout. Marp in…will they give him a chance to win the game?

Yep, he is intentionally walked. Now up to Yadi. Come on, Molina!

Runner on 2B with no outs and he doesn’t score. Bader’s AB was a killer.

Yadi tagged it but it was *just* high enough to be caught by Cargo. And with that, my night of baseball watching is over. I’ve gotta be up early here in the great east. Hope the Birds give me a win to wake up to.

Yeah if he lays off on that first bunt where Fowler was running we have a man on 2nd. with a couple pitches with the bunt off he could’ve taken a hack at it a least one other time.
