This lefty for Colorado has decent stuff…seems to have some deception in his delivery. Cards aren’t making a lot of good contact. The Fowler fly out was decently hit but didn’t get all that deep.

May have to be a pitchers duel tonight if the Cards are gonna win.

Big error for Carlos there. Two bases for Parra.

He gets out of it though. Avoiding the run after the error may be what gets them going a bit?

We avoid our error costing us a run but we pad our lead in the error department.

A lot of these error are a lack of focus, some are due to questionable effort and then there’s just a pure lack of understanding an in game situation. 0-2, 1 out and you throw a laser over to 1st when all you need to do is show the runner you know he’s there.

Rockies set up to get the first run of the game here. Carlos needs to buckle down.

It’s his lead off walk that got him into trouble. Lets see if he can get a double play induced.

The K for the second out and he just needs to get one more to sneak out.

Pop out. Nice work there. Carlos had a bit of a high pitch count that inning but he has pretty solid stuff tonight. Up to 97 when he’s needed it, good slider.

Feeling like Dejong or Ozuna will do something this inning.

Colorado’s OFers are catching everything in sight. Parra has robbed Ozuna twice.

Carlos with a lot of Ks tonight. Unfortunately, his pitch count is up as well so it seems unlikely that he’ll go past 6 innings.

The Rockies have had a ton more base runners than the Cards.

The training staff is out to talk to Carlos.

Looks like he’s injured again. Wonderful. Huge situation and it’s time for the bullpen.

Martinez exits the game he didn’t look comfortable out there at all.

Martinez is hurt. He won’t be traded.

Glad we could get another 4 2/3 innings out of Carlos before he heads back to the DL.

Ponce is in. Didn’t look like he threw a pitch out in the pen and no one looked ready. Mayers may have been missing his sock. Lol

Seemed like another quick return from the DL that maybe didn’t need to be made. He’s coming off an oblique injury and those can take more time to head although I think this may be something else.

How many times has Dan mentioned making a run in this broadcast? I get that it’s weird that the Cardinals have basically had no hot streak in about three years and that’s unusual, but I don’t see a lot of signs that this team can have one.

That was strike 3. Missed call.

Walk. Bases loaded for Arenado. This has an ominous feeling.

First ever hit allowed and it should have never happened. Garbage.
