Micholas should be well rested for today’s game. He’s only pitched 4 innings in the last 2 weeks and and has had 7 days rest since his last start.

My 5 predictions for today’s game.
    1 Micholas goes 7
    2 Munoz goes deep.
    3 Hudson makes an appearance.
    4 Micholas gets a hit.
5 Baez commits an error that leads to a run.

I thought the Cubs were flat last night. If they were playing like they were hungry, I don’t think Weaver would have gotten out of it with a win. He was throwing too many pitches up and in the zone. Mikolas is going to have his work cut out for him today, for sure.

I have no premonition regarding today’s titanic struggle. I only get those premonitions every once in a great while. This one could go either way. Time will tell.

Pugs? I am going to call this one 6-4 Redbirds. What are you calling?

It would be great to assure a series win, and go for a sweep tomorrow.

Nice call. Ozuna with a grand slam.

With Fowler playing everyday I think will get him going eventually.

Hopefully well enough someone will take him off our hands in the offseason

Munoz with a double to drive in Fowler. 6-0 in the first.

Quintana throws 51 pitches, walks three batters, all of whom scored, and the Cardinals send 10 players to the plate in the first for a 6-0 lead.

Nice offensive start to this game. Maybe a winning streak on the way if our new bullpen can stop giving up runs. Cautiously optimistic…

You’re.right 2016. How Fowler finishes the season will determine what we get for him.

Let’s not be satisfied with a 6 run lead.

I’m not concerned with what we get for him, I just want to clear playing time for Bader & O’Neill. It would be nice to get something positive for him, given the Cardinals will likely have to eat 90% of his salary, but I doubt anyone will give up decent prospects for him.

Gotta keep scoring runs here. The Cubs have w knack for comebacks. Take advantage of wild Quintana.

I still don’t see Bader or O’Neill besting Fowler and Ozuna next year. Maybe it’s just me though.

I really like Yairo Munoz. He is looking like a steal of a ballplayer. The perfect complement to Gyorko, Wong, and DeJong, who all are prone to long slumps or injuries. I like Greg Garcia as a backup too, but when a starter goes down, Munoz is an excellent fill-in. Also he can play in the OF.
