3:05 p.m. RHP Miles Mikolas (10-3, 2.82) vs. LHP José Quintana (9-6, 3.87) FOX Sports 1/KMOXJuly 28, 2018 at 11:53 am #62642
Micholas should be well rested for today’s game. He’s only pitched 4 innings in the last 2 weeks and and has had 7 days rest since his last start.July 28, 2018 at 12:01 pm #62644
My 5 predictions for today’s game.
1 Micholas goes 7
2 Munoz goes deep.
3 Hudson makes an appearance.
4 Micholas gets a hit.
5 Baez commits an error that leads to a run.July 28, 2018 at 1:29 pm #62667mudvilleParticipantPaid - Annual
I thought the Cubs were flat last night. If they were playing like they were hungry, I don’t think Weaver would have gotten out of it with a win. He was throwing too many pitches up and in the zone. Mikolas is going to have his work cut out for him today, for sure.July 28, 2018 at 2:08 pm #62673RatsbuddyParticipantFree
I have no premonition regarding today’s titanic struggle. I only get those premonitions every once in a great while. This one could go either way. Time will tell.
Pugs? I am going to call this one 6-4 Redbirds. What are you calling?

5 runs on three hits so far…July 28, 2018 at 3:36 pm #62691
With Fowler playing everyday I think will get him going eventually.July 28, 2018 at 3:38 pm #62692

Hopefully well enough someone will take him off our hands in the offseasonJuly 28, 2018 at 3:40 pm #62693
Munoz with a double to drive in Fowler. 6-0 in the first.July 28, 2018 at 3:42 pm #62694
Great start.July 28, 2018 at 3:42 pm #62695
Quintana throws 51 pitches, walks three batters, all of whom scored, and the Cardinals send 10 players to the plate in the first for a 6-0 lead.July 28, 2018 at 3:48 pm #62696CardsRedSox4EverParticipantFree
Nice offensive start to this game. Maybe a winning streak on the way if our new bullpen can stop giving up runs. Cautiously optimistic…July 28, 2018 at 3:48 pm #62697
You’re.right 2016. How Fowler finishes the season will determine what we get for him.July 28, 2018 at 3:50 pm #62699
Let’s not be satisfied with a 6 run lead.July 28, 2018 at 3:51 pm #62700

I’m not concerned with what we get for him, I just want to clear playing time for Bader & O’Neill. It would be nice to get something positive for him, given the Cardinals will likely have to eat 90% of his salary, but I doubt anyone will give up decent prospects for him.July 28, 2018 at 3:52 pm #62701stlcard25ParticipantPaid - Annual
Gotta keep scoring runs here. The Cubs have w knack for comebacks. Take advantage of wild Quintana.July 28, 2018 at 3:55 pm #62702PadsFSParticipantPaid - Annual
I still don’t see Bader or O’Neill besting Fowler and Ozuna next year. Maybe it’s just me though.
I really like Yairo Munoz. He is looking like a steal of a ballplayer. The perfect complement to Gyorko, Wong, and DeJong, who all are prone to long slumps or injuries. I like Greg Garcia as a backup too, but when a starter goes down, Munoz is an excellent fill-in. Also he can play in the OF.
