The Sunday starter has been changed to TBA, as is Monday’s vs. the Nats. The Cards are considering holding Flaherty to Monday, with Sunday to be taken by Weaver or Wainwright or ???
Luke Weaver is now the official Sunday starter, with Flaherty moved to Monday. Wainwright starts for Memphis Saturday.

Greg Garcia is starting again Sunday. The IF is 1-for-13 (.077) in the last week, 5-for-32 (.156) in last 3 weeks and .217 for the season. Yairo Munoz hasn't been much better recently, going 4-for-22 (.182) in last 3 weeks. #STLCards need a healthy Kolten Wong.

Yep, we need Wong back. I do prefer Wisdom 3B/Carp 1B defensively over any options involving Adams, not to mention he’s horrible at the plate now. Keep him on the bench, please…don’t need to lose games trying to “get him right.” Not sure why they brought him back the way he was trending. Wisdom has shown some spark, maybe that’ll continue over the next few weeks.
Not a good start for the game. Weaver is all over the place. 25 pitches in is 2-0 Reds still only one out
Does any starter in either league throw more pitches per inning than Luke Weaver???? 2-0 Redlegs in the 1st….and looking for more….possibly a lot more.
Weaver has been a big disappointment this year. Why did they start him today? He’s starting out like a wreck again this game and might be in the process of burying the team today. Throwing a ton of pitches again because he can’t command anything. I think he’s bounced at least 4 so far and walked 3. 38 pitches in the 1st and counting and just one out so far. Please get him out and trade him soon if you can.
He does get the pitcher’s best friend to bail him out. 2-0 Reds. The offense needs to come alive in a big way. Time to bail the pitching.
I’ll have to check with our good friend Jorge over at the esteemed Elias Sports Bureau to see what the all-time record is for most pitches in an inning. Anyone know if ex Baltimore skipper Earl Weaver is related to our Luke Weaver in any fashion? I’m thinking maybe Earl had similar issues as Luke in the minors and hence gained one heck of a hot temper.
Birds doing a little chirping of their own in their half of the 1st! 1st & 2nd and no outs registered. Jose up….and don’t look now, but Jose is vying for a NL batting champion trophy.
The first two on and then out-out-out. C’mon, now is not the time to turn into the Matheny Cards again.
