    Wong couldn’t get decent wood on Cedar Rapids Kernels pitching the other night. He stands little chance vs the likes of Mr. Ivan Nova. But I think the other Birds should fare well. I’m calling this one 5-3 Cards with Gyorko finally getting off the schneid with a booming 2-run blast.

    Ozuna with a lazy fly to center, advancing nothing except an extra out on the scoreboard and now the Cards are in jeopardy of blowing a golden opportunity to grab an early lead. Yadi swipes 3rd to the surprise of everybody in the house except one person…..Yadier. Martinez lines a shot to left! Frazier races in and catches it at shoelace level and then takes a brief tumble as he retires the side.
