    M. Kelly is have a very good May, and he’s been especially tough on rhb’s this season.
I’d lean towards a lefty outfield with Gorman at 2B and Burly at DH. You have 3 righty catchers, pick one.

Just checked the Doppler Radar. Looks all clear. There’s a big pile of green stuff that looks to be about two hours south of St. Louis but it appears to be heading east. Game should be played with no delays.

Din din today will be a Hungry Man’s Salisbury Steak TV dinner, deviled eggs, bread and butter, an ice cold Pepsi, and a chocolate shake for dessert. Din din will commence about the time of the first pitch. Then afterwards me and Whitey Herdog will be on the couch for a 7×50 Palma Real Presidente cigar. Then after the DBacks/Cards game it will be time to turn it over to watch last several innings of the Cubs/Reds game from Riverfront Stadium.

p.s. Pugs? Looks like it’s going to take another bucket of gravel to get the job done. Maybe two more. The Great Gravel Heist isn’t over yet.

Looks like Willson’s primary support colummn continues to show signs of instability.

The AZ pitcher looks just like “The Guy Under the Seats” on Letterman.

I wonder if we will see Contreras at all this weekend. Most likely not.

Herrera couldn’t stand a poor batting average under .400 and had to push it back up over with an RBI single

    M. Kelly has been nibbling big time. Good contact vs his strikes.

Careful Rat, I’m entirely certain that numerous law enforcement agencies have placed an elaborate sting operation into effect near the scene of the most recent gravel heist in the hope of apprehending the criminal mastermind of the most recent heist if he indeed returns in an attempt to once again breach security and make off with another bucket or two of precious gravel…

    Kelly’s changeup is working.
Libby starts the third at 24 pitches.

Before the Rockies beat the Yankees last night they were on pace to win 29 games this season. I wonder if they’re required to have post-game pressers, and if so, what the heck would anyone have to say?

Kelly has used 64 pitches, Libby 47.
    Grichuk w/a solo shot.

Kind of surprises me that AZ is one of the top home run hitting teams so far this year. Don’t really think of them as a power team.

Corbin Carroll and Eugenio Suarez are both in the top 10 of the league. Carroll is a really exciting young guy. Small stature but still a heck of a bat

Hopefully with Liberatore at 79 pitches he gets the 7th. And now the offense has to do it’s job and plate another couple of runs

Yeah, a couple of years ago I sprung for a nice Corbin Carroll rookie card thinking it might be a good investment. He’s really good but does not get a lot of “pub”.

    Masyn hates popping up. 😀

I wonder if Liberatore will end up having a better career than Arozarena? Randy is five years older, and really has not been all that great since his dynamic start in 2020. He’s 30, and only at 14.7 WAR. Rats would not be thrilled with his .252 career batting average, and he has not yet hit his 100th home run.

And they score plenty of runs too, Bikemike. They’re behind only the Cubbies and Dodgers in the NL with 260 runs scored.

Kelly got away with one on that 3-2 fastball that tailed to the inner half.

Normally I would bunt the runners over here, but don’t think Walker can do that.
