LUV these west coast games! The Giants are playing LA at Dodger Stadium tonight and me and Whitey Herdog will be tuning in. I’ll switch over to the Giants/Dodgers game from the Reds/Brewers game.

I thought it was sad today when they put up on the screen that the Reds are on a pace to finish 22-140 on the year. Surely they will turn things around and win a few games.

Hopefully our Cards were able to catch an earlier flight today, so to avoid tonight’s originally scheduled red-eye flight to northern California. I’ll never forget my memorable first trip to SF one summer, when I was in high school. While there, I went to a movie theater to see a new film “Escape From Alcatraz” with Clint Eastwood. Then right after it’s conclusion, looking out into the bay and seeing the real Alcatraz.

Brewers lead the Reds 6-2 in the 4th. Rowdy Tellez a grand slam. Two Brewers have been hit with up and in pitches. Cain and Adames. Adames had his helmet grazed. Could be fireworks later.

But the real fireworks is…….FRONT ROW AMY IS BACK AGAIN TONIGHT! In her usual seat. In her usual attire. She was holding a sign that said….”PUGS? Call me!!!”

It’s sad the Reds are about to go to 3-21 on the season. Anyone remember how the Cardinals started the 1973 season? They lost 20 of their first 25 games. They were 5-20. They roared back into contention and missed the playoffs on the last day of the season.

On a Monday night game in St. Louis Curt Gowdy said…..”Tonight you’re watching the comeback team in baseball, the St. Louis Cardinals…”

Instead of games happening while I am at work, now they will happen after I go to bed.

Congrats to Yepez on successful debut. (both doubles looked like screamers in the box score).

The Reds lost at Milwaukee 18-4 tonight. Day game for them tomorrow (Thursday). They are at home Friday night against Pittsburgh. I wonder what kind of crowd they will have?

These late games are awful! I’ll fall asleep around the 3rd, then check the box score during my middle of the night tinkle. Guessing there are a few of you who do the same!

CIT, I am assuming you are seven hours ahead of us in the Central Time Zone. If the west coast games end around midnight CT you should be able to catch the final inning with your breakfast, no?

She(Front Row Amy)was holding a sign that read “PUGS….Call me!!!”

Amy was so yesterday, I’m on to bigger and nicer things, Rat. Hopefully, our Cardinals are thinking big too. We kind of spanked the Giants in their own yard last year. And they’re coming off a rough series in LA. When you have a quality team such as SF coming off a poor series and they’re squaring off vs a team that they’re looking to gain a little revenge upon…..and they are playing at home,…..watch out. Even with Mikolas dealing for us this evening, this one could get very very ugly….and it could happen right out of the gates tonight. Hate to say it, but I have to call this one 9-3 Giants. Hope to God I’m wrong…..but I’m most likely spot on. I should be riding high in the PBP saddle tonight…… we’ll see who the real troopers are tonight by who’s in attendance on the game thread. I know that CardsFanInChiTown will muster up the will and the energy to be onboard. Will you?

    * Thanks for having my back, Willie!

If I can get my new Vizio TV all hooked up to the satellite and DVD player I will be tuning in tonight. I’ll be on the couch along with Whitey Herdog, as usual.

Din-din today was a couple of center cut rib chops in the air fryer, some bread and butter, a Mt. Dew, some Doritos, and a bowl of chocolate ice cream.

Apparently success has been met in hooking up the new Vizio TV. Everything seems to be working as normal. Me and Whitey Herdog will now be tuning in tonight for sure.

And the Reds jump out to a 3-0 lead at Milwaukee this afternoon. Can they possibly win another???

UPDATE: Back to back homers in the bottom of the 1st by Urias and Yelich and now it’s a 3-2 Reds lead. Could they possibly go 22-140 on the year???

I’m still savoring yesterday. Waino’s one-hitter through seven. That went down as smoothly as a dish of haagen Dazs coffee ice cream. And he even got a wagon load of run support in the bargain.

I’m afraid tonight’s game is out of the question for me. Miles (and Pugs) will have to settle for moral support only as I float through dreamland.

However I had a respectable din-din tonight: filet of salmon baked in a pastry and covered with a sauce of cream, chopped shallots and tarragon mustard, a side of peas, a dessert of fresh strawberries and iced tea,

Reds now trail Milwaukee 6-3 in the 2nd. They have their young stud, Hunter Greene, on the mound. Doesn’t seem to be doing very well.

Time for din-din and I am hungry. See above for today’s menu.

Here’s to hoping the Giants don’t come out red hot and blow us out tonight.

An added benefit of retirement. West Coast games now can be watched in their entirety. Need to put a win on the board here against a better team. Have the Giants 7 of the next 10. Then 4 more against the Mets. Big early season stretch here.

Din-din this way will consist of roasted pine nut, bacon and mushroom stuffed chicken breast, asparagus spears, deviled eggs and homemade apple pie with Breyer’s vanilla ice cream on top. Then let’s wash her all down with some 100% Welch’s grape juice, shall we? Love Rat’s & Cardinal In France’s respective din-dins. I wonder what Bling, Wooster, The Hammer, stlcard25 and others have on tap tonight in the din-din department?

Today is cinco de mayo. I’m thinking about a pitcher of margaritas and corn chips/salsa for dinner. On second thought, maybe I should save that for the game tonight.

I’m having leftover chicken and biscuits and green beans, with a glass of lemonade. Dinner will be early tonight as I have a meeting to attend.

The Reds lost again at Milwaukee. 10-5 was your final. Three game sweep by the Brewers. Reds now stand 3-22 on the year. Stay tuned folks, this might be a historically bad season in the Queen City.

Chicken breast fritter and veggies in homemade masala sauce. Spinach and egg salad.

Couldn’t find a lineup yet, I guess the late start time.
