Legitimate. I’m not trying to over-simplify, especially based on such limited data sets for Sanchez and Kaminsky. I was just clarifying my frame for the question.

Thank you for the welcome and for your reply.

So they needed to lose 7 (assuming all COVID players come back). They dropped Seijas, he cleared waivers, and they outrighted him to Springfield. (He was on some, but not everyone’s, drop list, but there it is.) So that leaves 6 to DFA. Hicks is out, too.
One can make arguments for various versions of the DFA list, but there seemed to be a consensus that Kaminsky had a good shot to stay. AAA experience. Very good record at AA. Pitched perfect innings, two days in a row. Essentially performed as his best-advertised self (since becoming a reliever). Induced uncomplicated grounders, got Ks, with no walks, Low 90s FB. Out-performing Webb (maybe his closest analogue), and didn’t collapse (so far) in the clutch (cough) Roel.
Right after he was sent to the taxi squad the vibe seemed to be: “Well, he couldn’t do three days in a row if he’s needed back soom. He did great in his debut, he could really contribute, and he’s a lefty who can pitch to righties. He’ll stay on the 40-Man, and be back when the revolving door revolves again to rest someone.”
Now in the last couple of days I don’t see him on as many ‘keep’ lists by writers or commenters,.. and so I was wondering what, if anything, happened to turn the vibe.

I appreciate your observation about the minor league free-agents, though.

Did I miss something? Why in the last few days has Kaminsky seemed to fall off the consensus bullpen predictions for the rest of the season?
