May 30, 2022 at 9:23 am #186562Summarizing the #stlcards 3-3 week: Paul Goldschmidt. For a quick recap of the week, and looks ahead and back into team history, check https://t.co/V31bxxPFbB every Monday morning. (free) https://t.co/SxMjRv0kCZ pic.twitter.com/eljNqerVKF

May 30, 2022 at 9:53 am #186565One aspect of the team’s offensive struggles was addressed only tangentially (big word alert) by noting that Goldschmidt is the offense. That aspect is that the two hitters brought in to provide a middle of the order DH combo have been mostly ineffective. Finding PAs for them hasn’t helped offensively or defensively. Especially considering that other arrivals have proven able to give starters a day off. If anything, they are keeping better producers on the bench. It will be a more glaring issue when Goldy’s hot streak inevitably ends.
June 6, 2022 at 3:22 pm #187204After a 6-2 week, the #STLCards are within a 1/2 game of the Brewers. Paul Goldschmidt (1.030 OPS) and Brendan Donovan (1.000 OPS) led the offense, while Adam Wainwright dialed in.
