Marilyn….. The Mike Gonzalez story was a great read. What a career that guy had. I always like to say that his luggage was covered with stickers of all his stops along the way. This guy must have loved the game because he stuck around for that many years as player/coach/interim mgr. He should have written a book.

Edmundo Sosa would be a better replacement, but manager Mike Shildt wants Carpenter’s bat in the lineup.
This sentence in the report stood out to me. I have no doubts that Marilyn’s reporting is correct but if this is Shildt’s logic then we have a problem.
