Do you also cover your eyes and your children’s eyes when they show the cheerleaders, Boyer? Some of y’all wouldn’t survive a trip to certain countries because you’d lose your flippin’ minds.
Heck I remember being 12-years old and watching wrestling during the Attitude Era and Monday Night Wars and there are always scantily clad women during those times. That was also called family entertainment.
BHC – best probably to recognize the difference in generations. As Brian alluded, Elvis would probably not have been a good selection for a Super Bowl halftime show if it had taken place in the 1950s. And some of us today think this recent halftime show was a bit too sexual.
Done in poor taste. It’s the same way we feel when we go to an R rated F bomb laced movie. Which of course under 17s are prohibited from attending on their own.
Using wrestling may not be a good comparison because it was not arguably the biggest singular sporting event of the year.
My point BCC is that the NFL has always sexualized the sport and that’s why you have cheerleaders dancing while wearing very little clothing. I just find funny that all the talk is about the halftime show when there are cheerleaders at every single game.
