No, Albert typically hit out of the 3 slot. Rickey holds the all time record for most HR’s to break up a no hitter with 81 lead off HR’s…He also holds the all time record for runs scored and SB’s.

Kyles pitch count is getting out of control.

Looks like we will need a dozen runs boys. Lets get started.

Goldschmidt’s glove may have saved this one from unraveling.

Gibson is hittable today. Breaking ball is coach pitch.

Lucky for us Assad looks the same way.

Was he sent or didn’t he run through the sign? Regardless it was a terrible call.

    Sac Fly. 4-3

Rickey rarely K’d Carter. I’m pretty sure you’re thinking of Reggie who holds the all time record for sitting down without making contact. The straw that stirred the drink was victimized by the K 2597 times in his career.

Geez, can he make thru three IP?

Dom, that’s what I get for listening to Paul Pierce who said that about Henderson just a couple of days ago and Skip Bayless didn’t refute him. Mad Dog Russo wudda nailed him on that BS!

Gibson at 75 pitches thru 3 IP.

Well, Henderson had some seasons in which his OBP numbers were silly and he’s second in all time BB’s behind Bonds. In my experience, he was the single most offensive weapon insofar as causing genuine chaos for the defense that I’ve ever seen in my time as a fan. “When Rickey reached base, Rickey scored”…Haha!

That really is all I need from ChokeAnado.

You have to be kidding. Arenado may be trying to win the title as the the worst baserunner on this team.

You remind me of several posters from CT. You didn’t seem to bash Carpenter crappy base running the previous inning when he got gunned down.Thst was worse.

The hate is strong with this one.

I had a bad feeling about that inning, but Gibson got the GB when he really needed it.

You liked that play? You liked the lack of hustle yesterday? You liked the failure to execute at the plate tonight? You like the fact it should have been a double play in the first inning last night to end that rally? I don’t hate the player or the person. That’s your word. Im sick of the play.

Thankfully we only used 2 RP in the early game so we are least have some arms available for the 5 innings we need out of them.

5 pitches by King. Lets get some runs.

Yeah, that was quick and painless from King.

We gotta like a pen game, even down a run.

I could see some team letting King try to be a #5 LHP starter in the future. He is more of an old school contact oriented pitcher who fishes for GBs and limits walks. He probably wouldn’t be amazing, but could likely eat good innings if he built his pitch count up. He is quite efficient from what I recall of his outings.

I just don’t understand why you hated that play so much but dismiss the Matt Carpenter base running $hit show the previous inning? Seems like you have card talk agenda like the

Can’t be happy, wishing for whitey ball, hating Bowtie, Dewitt and Oli and blaming them for world hunger. I’ve seen your kind for way too long son.

Notice he didn’t deny the cards talk accusation. He knows he’s outed here. Just can’t figure out who you are….yet!

I’ve begun to like us in close games. At least it means we’re still in it after 4 innings.
