C Pedro Pages RJuly 7, 2024 at 11:29 am #259392Gorman slowly but surely inching his way higher in the batting order. I bet prior to his recent scolding, other than possibly when he was first brought up, he’s never hit lower than 5th in his entire life. The demotion to 8th seems to be working. He should know that next time he gets himself mired in a 2 month slump that he’ll be occupying that #9 slot for a spell.
July 7, 2024 at 12:46 pm #259395How would the posters here feel about batting your top prospect who has been in the bigs for a week in the #3 spot?
July 7, 2024 at 12:50 pm #259396I was thinking along those same lines, Albert. Normally I’d view it as a bad idea, but not with this guy. I’ve only seen him play in two games, but he looks to be first rate.
July 7, 2024 at 12:56 pm #259397Haha…But he needs to lose the oven mitt!
July 7, 2024 at 12:56 pm #259398I don’t mind it at all. I was curious what others thought since some of the statements I have seen here in the past would say it is a no go.
July 7, 2024 at 12:57 pm #259399Yeah Wood with a mistake there, but I’ll take it for a bloop double from Gorman with an RBI an inning extender. Now Carlson singles Gorman in for a 2-0 lead.
July 7, 2024 at 12:58 pm #259400Cards plate two runs in the 2nd and take a 2-0 lead. Still batting……..
July 7, 2024 at 12:58 pm #259401I thought it was lunacy for the Cardinal manager to place Gorman in the 3 slot last season, but this player for DC is an altogether different make and model than Gorman.
July 7, 2024 at 1:25 pm #259402Thought he could get him to chase after running it full. No dice.
July 7, 2024 at 1:29 pm #259404I also read that Wood has sprinter speed. At 6-7 he’s not unlike a receiving TE.
July 7, 2024 at 1:30 pm #259405Goldy off the proverbial schneid with a leadoff 4th inning double in a 2-2 ballgame.
July 7, 2024 at 1:37 pm #259408
jj-cf-stlParticipantGibsons 55 pitches after 3 is a bit high. Quick innings on the to-do list.
July 7, 2024 at 1:39 pm #259409Gorman, with a keen eye on continuing his northern migration in the batting lineup, drills a 2 out base hit to left, scoring Goldy…..3-2 Birds.
July 7, 2024 at 1:40 pm #259410
stlcard25ParticipantGorman seems to have swung back to the hot streak. Gotta ride that as long as it lasts before he goes back into the freezer.
July 7, 2024 at 1:42 pm #259411Carlson knows it doesnt matter what he does. He gone.
July 7, 2024 at 1:42 pm #259412
jj-cf-stlParticipantGorman and Willson have a good July…..
July 7, 2024 at 1:43 pm #259413And after the double Goldschmidt comes around to cross HP with his team leading 43rd run scored.
July 7, 2024 at 1:44 pm #259414What a magnificent play by Winn
July 7, 2024 at 1:45 pm #259415Yes Albert, a magnificent 6-4-3 twin killing engineered by the Redbird SS.
July 7, 2024 at 1:45 pm #259416Won’t see a nicer 6-4-3 than that one. That’s what you pay those outrageous prices for a hot dog to see…Haha!
July 7, 2024 at 1:45 pm #259417
jj-cf-stlParticipant6-4-3 ✅
July 7, 2024 at 1:48 pm #259418
jj-cf-stlParticipantA multi-HR game from Willson or Nolan, any day soon, wouldn’t surprise me. They both seem like a lit fuse.
July 7, 2024 at 1:51 pm #259420Contreras has had a couple of king sized taters as of late. Hopefully Arenado will acquire a taste for a few.
