My bad. Arenado brought the gold glove today.

Well hopefully Graceffo gets the next inning. Defense is looking really bad this inning though.

Arenado can’t hit, can’t field, won’t run, worthless in the clutch.

I hope Mo is trying to find somebody that will take his $30M a year salary off of our hands. Maybe we can get a sack of potatoes in return.

Oh well here he comes. Hopefully they just let him pitch out the rest of the game to save the rest of the pen

Yeah no runs are unearned that inning, but Arenado definitely cost us multiple runs there.

Yeah no runs are unearned that inning,

Gray was only charged 3 earned runs due to Arenado’s error.

Cardinals getting blown out for the second time in three games.

Molina could steal 50 against this team.

Ah that is good. I expected some unearned, but they must have labeled it wrong on the game cast for a few minutes

The E-5 led to 3 unearned runs. I miss Scott Rolen.

Yeah it should have been an inning ending DP and the game is very manageable at 3-1. Instead it is 8-1 now

Yesterday we only had two hits until the ninth inning. Today we have two hits. Defense is shakey. It seems like we are getting too many short starts. The pen is calling up reinforcements. Things might be taking a turn for the worse.

Graceffo’s windup is interesting. I actually prefer him out of the stretch. The windup seems rushed with too many moving parts. It looks like if he simplified it he would be more consistent.

Update: Siani now out hitting Gorman be 52 pts.

The E-5 was undoubtedly the back breaker, but there were also 4 SB’s in that hideous 5th inning. Those 4 SB’s led to at least 2 additional runs. Opposing teams have subjected the Cardinals to absolute anarchy on the basepaths all season long. It’s way out of control.

Okay Graceffo looks to have slowed down the wind up a little this inning. I saw some of his Memphis games and didn’t remember it being nearly that quick of movements. Maybe he was overly excited.

Are the Cardinals better, overall, with Pages at catcher? Handling the pitchers and deterring steals. Gray sure wasn’t an “Ace” today. An “Ace” needs to be more consistent than Gray has been, overall, lately. The Reds seem to have a “book” on Burleson this series. Let’s hope Burly analyzes how they were pitching him and makes the needed adjustments.

Pagés is the better catcher. But Contreras is a light years better hitter.

I haven’t seen any one of Cardinal catchers come close to controlling the running game this season. It’s been carte blanche on the basepaths. It’s as if every team has vintage Rickey in it’s lineup.

    Jnevel, Pages catches. Contreras DH.

Yes Shady. They can and will do that some. But that still makes the lineup worse. Having Contreras catch produces a better lineup. It just depends on what the team wants more of.
