If Burelson and Pages steal bases on you in the same inning it is time to reevaluate your future as a major league catcher

What would the world be like if Arenado was hitting up to Arenado standards?

KCB, when Nootbaar returns, he and Carlson should be platooned in CF. Pages remains at C with Contreras at DH.
    1) Winn SS
    2) Donovan LF
    3) Burleson RF
    4) Contreras DH
    5) Goldschmidt 1B
    6) Arenado 3B
    7) Gorman 2B
    8) Nootbaar or Carlson CF
    9) Pages C

We’d win two of three vs LH starters, Mud.

When our righty bats lead the way we were typically a 24-12 club (vs LH starters).

Winn strikes out for the 3rd time on that sweeper. Let’s hope that doesn’t become an Achilles Heel.

I blame that on Bally for labeling it on the screen

I noticed we had done a good job here by not talking about it! Definitely Bally’s fault.

Absolutely great start by Gray. His stuff was really on today. It is a shame he lost the perfect game on a solo shot.

And we take Gray out for Jojo to walk the first batter on 4 pitches

Oh come on. Somehow we waste all of Gray’s magnificent starts.

With the way Kitty has been pitching, I would prefer Fernandez in the 8th at this point

This is what happens when you take your starter out at 80 pitches

Good job Carlson and Crawford making it a 2 run game

Huge run there with back-to-back two-out doubles by Carlson and Crawford.

Again Ollie pinch hit with Fermin for Carpenter. I’m not really a fan of that as I said the other day. At least this time it was later in the game.

Having Carlson hitting is huge. Our offense looks so much better. Our defense looks so much better when you can carry Pages. Keep running both of them out there.

Helsey looked much better today. He had been over worked and that rest appears to have done him some good.

2 games over .500 is a start. The team finally looks like they can put it together on all sides. Throw in a decent starter and anything at all from CF and they’re in business. We will see how things go with Atlanta..

Agreed. He looked like he did earlier in the season when everything was sharp.

It looks like I missed a solid game. Any certain reason Gray came out after 80 pitches?

Many multi-hit candidates from our lineup, for the Game Ball, but we allowed 2 hits total on the day.

    Game Ball to Sonny Gray
    Hat-tip to his battery mate.

Marmol is still holding a grudge from the game when Gray removed himself after throwing 32 pitches in an inning when the defense failed behind him. So, he has to continually show Gray up.
