Haha…Yeah, me too, J. Probably have to go with some combo of Herrera/Carpenter and Contreras when he gets his release papers. And don’t forget that we’ll see Walker back in St. Louis before Thursday night’s, “Star Wars Jordan SkyWalker Bobblehead Night”…
June 4, 2024 at 8:04 pm #255112How many times does Arenado pop out with RiSP? I should try to research that. But I know the answer is most of the time.
June 4, 2024 at 8:11 pm #255113I don’t know, J, but I can hear Harry Caray…”Heeeeee…popped…him up!”
June 4, 2024 at 8:11 pm #255114Pallante gets his ground ball but no one is there and now it’s first and third.

jj-cf-stlParticipantMore pitches, higher leverage inning…

jj-cf-stlParticipantDouble, 3-1 Asstros
(Just a DP ball from getting out of it)HR
The Houdini act doesn’t include x-base hits.
June 4, 2024 at 8:20 pm #255117The real Pallante has showed up tonight!
June 4, 2024 at 8:20 pm #255118I’d say a 6-1 score qualifies that last pitch as the “Death Ball.”
June 4, 2024 at 8:20 pm #255119Likely over. We almost never get 6. Pallante doing terrible tonight. Just all over the place with his pitching.
June 4, 2024 at 8:23 pm #255120Now Ollie just hoping to not have to cover more than 5 innings with the pen.
June 4, 2024 at 8:26 pm #255122As a side note, I really think the Cardinals need to consider changing up their infield positioning when Pallante pitches.
June 4, 2024 at 8:27 pm #255123It’s getting more and more obvious, that the Cards need to try to trade either Goldschmidt or Arenado for a #5 starter. Either position could be filled just as good from within as what the Cards are getting from these two over-priced players. Sorry, I couldn’t find trade ideas thread,
June 4, 2024 at 8:39 pm #255125It’s safe to say that Pallante experiment didn’t take too long to fail.
June 4, 2024 at 8:43 pm #255126It did not. He often beats himself.
I think starting pitching is the better choice for him. But he has to both sharpen his control and sharpen his command of that 2-seam fastball. He was better against the Reds, but he still wasn’t really very sharp. The Reds just didn’t hit pitches over the middle like the Astros have tonight. And Pallante wasn’t overthrowing then.
June 4, 2024 at 8:54 pm #255127Gallegos gives up a homer on his 2nd pitch in Memphis tonight costing Memphis the lead. Anyone want to rush him back?
June 4, 2024 at 8:58 pm #255128Add a walk, a caught stealing, and then another homer given up by Gallegos.

jj-cf-stlParticipantSomething spacey go in on there. Asstros dragging them into another time warp?
June 4, 2024 at 9:15 pm #2551302 run bomb by Winn. It’s kind of a ballgame again.
June 4, 2024 at 9:15 pm #255131Winn gives us a chance with the 2 run tater.
June 4, 2024 at 9:18 pm #255132Winn generates some power from time to time. He absolutely annihilated a pitch last night that went just a little foul.
June 4, 2024 at 9:18 pm #255133
jj-cf-stlParticipantBurly drills it off a lefty. His calling card for table setter PA’s too, when available. Faces both well, recently.
June 4, 2024 at 9:36 pm #255134If Dylan Carlson isn’t better than Siani we should release him! If he is better he should be playing!
June 4, 2024 at 9:37 pm #255135Tying run coming to the plate in Winn. Who’d have thunk it?
June 4, 2024 at 9:37 pm #255136
jj-cf-stlParticipantRighties got to Pallante. Until that changes…..
June 4, 2024 at 9:40 pm #255137
stlcard25ParticipantCarlson with a chance to totally redeem himself…
