Yeah, late train ride.
May 27, 2024 at 4:29 pm #253928
jj-cf-stlParticipantWhoa, wide strike
May 27, 2024 at 4:44 pm #253929Hopefully Lynn gets through 6 just to save the pen. Not because our other 5 are tired, but because we may essentially have a BP game coming up.
May 27, 2024 at 4:45 pm #253930Good job Lance.
I foresee a Loutos debut next inning.
May 27, 2024 at 4:47 pm #253931
jj-cf-stlParticipantLance doing the 3 up 3 down, rinse, repeat
May 27, 2024 at 4:50 pm #253932Another hardscrabble, workmanlike performance from Lynn.
May 27, 2024 at 4:52 pm #253933The Cards hitters should be all over this guy. Every time he throws a splitter, you can see his forearm moving around as he is digging into the glove for the split grip. But he K’s all of the batters he faces
May 27, 2024 at 4:54 pm #253934
jj-cf-stlParticipantI’m in no hurry to get to the pen.
May 27, 2024 at 4:55 pm #2539355 strikeouts in a row for Cruz against us. He’s maybe got the best peripherals in their bullpen, but still not a good performance.
May 27, 2024 at 4:56 pm #253936Liberatore in with 2 lefties coming up. Maybe he’ll stay in the pen then?
May 27, 2024 at 4:56 pm #253937Libby into the game.
I guess that means Pallante starts on Wednesday?
May 27, 2024 at 4:57 pm #253938The E’s by the two GG’s place LL in line for the loss, but I’d say he outpitched his counterpart. Hopefully the bats can get him off the hook in the last two innings.
May 27, 2024 at 4:59 pm #253939
jj-cf-stlParticipantI’d have let Lance take himself out.
May 27, 2024 at 5:00 pm #253940Maybe he did?
May 27, 2024 at 5:02 pm #253941
jj-cf-stlParticipantLOL, good one!
May 27, 2024 at 5:03 pm #253942Every time I see Liberatore make an appearance I strongly suspect he may have been mentored by Steven Matz.
May 27, 2024 at 5:03 pm #253943I understand why a pitcher would pitch around De La Cruz with first open. But I’d rather see a confident Liberatore going after hitters with all his stuff than a cautious Liberatore trying to nibble.
May 27, 2024 at 5:07 pm #253944I agree Jnevel. I would also add that if the manager doesn’t have confidence in Libby getting out of that inning then why bring him in the game in the first place? Why even have him on the roster?
May 27, 2024 at 5:07 pm #253945
jj-cf-stlParticipantO my
May 27, 2024 at 5:08 pm #253946Well, we walked the bases loaded but got out of it.
May 27, 2024 at 5:08 pm #253947
jj-cf-stlParticipant3 walks is not a good game plan.
Find a way boys
May 27, 2024 at 5:09 pm #253948First base was open when he walked the lead-off man…Lucky to escape that inning still down by two.
May 27, 2024 at 5:10 pm #2539496 strikeouts in a row
May 27, 2024 at 5:14 pm #253950We have really caught the strikeout bug. Ugh.
May 27, 2024 at 5:17 pm #253952I guess I was wrong on Loutos. I would have pitched him. I get that we’re only 2 runs down. But I’d rather have Leahy pitch longer in the likely BP game upcoming.
